Seagate unveils IronWolf Pro 24TB hard drive for evolving enterprise needs

Seagate Technology has enhanced its product suite with the introduction of the Seagate IronWolf Pro 24TB hard drive. This new launch caters to the burgeoning data needs of small to medium businesses (SMBs) and enterprise network-attached storage (NAS) environments.

Offering multiple capacities from 2TB up to 24TB, the Seagate IronWolf Pro hard drives are designed to scale according to the requirements of any expanding enterprise. With sustained transfer rates of 285MB/s and a user workload rating of up to 550TB per annum, the latest addition to the IronWolf Pro line-up is guaranteed to provide seamless, reliable, and steady performance around the clock in multi-bay and multi-user collaborative settings.

These drives are fitted with Seagate's proprietary AgileArray technology, set to optimise performance in multi-bay systems. It utilises dual-plane balancing and time-limited error recovery. Adding to their innovative design, the drives also come equipped with built-in rotational vibration sensors. Complemented with dual-plane balancing, they are expertly tailored to combat vibrational disturbances and consistently deliver top-notch performance and unwavering reliability.

The Seagate IronWolf Pro drive incorporates the distinct IronWolf Health Management system from Seagate. This system safeguards data through preventive, intervention, and recovery measures to maintain optimum system health on compatible NAS systems. Adding to the package, the new IronWolf Pro drive also includes a five-year limited warranty along with three years of Seagate Rescue Data Recovery Services.

This newest arrival is all set to raise the bar in driving innovative, high-performing storage solutions aimed at catering to the needs of SMBs and large enterprise NAS environments. Designed for any growing business’s evolving demands, the IronWolf Pro 24TB will be accessible for purchase from March, priced at AUD $1,499 or NZD $1,699.
