SAP honours top innovators at 2024 Best Run Awards in ANZ

Mon, 2nd Sep 2024

SAP has announced the 2024 winners of its annual SAP Best Run Awards, celebrating the top companies and individuals in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) who are using the company's products to drive innovation and transform their businesses. The awards, open to SAP customers and partners, recognise 14 winners across various categories, including Next Gen Innovator, Human Capital Management, Business Transformation, and Intelligent ERP Enterprise.

Among the prominent companies recognised were Telstra, Powerlink Queensland, BHP, CITIC Pacific Mining, PWC, and Accenture. The awards were presented at an event held at Pier One Sydney, hosted by Angela Colantuono, President and Managing Director of SAP ANZ.

Angela Colantuono remarked on the achievements, stating, "We are thrilled to recognise the incredible achievements of our valued customer and partner community over the past year. We're navigating a testing market right now, so it's encouraging businesses in ANZ are turning to technology and data to provide the certainty they need to make the right decisions and bring out their best."

Colantuono further added, "I am in awe of our winners and finalists, each representing businesses that have brought bold visions to life and driven real-world results. And it's great to see cutting-edge innovation in the new Business AI category. I can't wait to see what our customers and partners do next in 2025."

The SAP Best Run Awards encouraged entrants to showcase innovative thinking, disruptive use cases, and the deployment of technologies that set industry benchmarks. Winning entries highlighted excellence in optimising business processes, enhancing productivity, reducing costs, and providing real-time insights. Additionally, several entries demonstrated improvements in employee satisfaction, reduced turnover, and overall business success.

This year's awards also saw the introduction of a Business AI category, which attracted notable entries and resulted in joint winners. Furthermore, the SAP Chris O'Brien Award was presented to Powerlink Queensland for its use of SAP Datasphere and Sustainability Control Tower to empower sustainable change through climate reporting.
