ROG is expanding its motherboard line-up around AMD's next desktop platform. The flagship ROG Crosshair X870E Glacial board has 24+2+2 power stages, seven M.2 slots and extensive USB connectivity, including dual USB4 ports and 10Gbps USB ports.
The board includes a 5-inch LCD for system monitoring and features such as PCIe Slot Q-Release and an AIO Q-Connector aimed at simplifying assembly. It has received a CES 2026 Innovation award in the Computer Hardware & Components category.
The ROG Crosshair X870E Dark Hero targets users who want a more understated aesthetic. It offers two PCIe 5.0 M.2 slots, three PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots, WiFi 7 and dual USB4 ports.
Below the Crosshair range, the ROG Strix Neo series spans high-end and mainstream AMD builds, with X870E and B850 chipsets and WiFi 7 connectivity.
On the cooling side, ROG is introducing the Strix SLC/LC IV all-in-one coolers with an integrated triple-fan design and Aura Fan Edge lighting. The units use an AIO Q-Connector that passes pump, fan and ARGB signals through a row of metal contacts, which reduces visible cabling.
The new ROG Ryuo IV 360 ARGB cooler features a 6.67-inch curved AMOLED display on the pump housing. The display can show system information or custom visuals. Cooling is handled by an Asetek Emma Gen 8 V2 pump and pre-mounted daisy-chained ARGB fans.
OLED displays and AR
ROG is extending its OLED monitor portfolio with the Swift OLED PG27UCWM and PG34WCDN. The company said it currently holds the top position globally for OLED gaming monitors.
The Swift OLED PG27UCWM uses a 26.5-inch 4K Tandem RGB OLED panel that supports dual-mode operation at 4K 240Hz or Full HD 480Hz. It employs an RGB stripe pixel structure and removes the white subpixel used in standard WOLED panels.
ROG said the change increases colour volume by up to 27% at high luminance and delivers sharper text. The display covers 99% of the DCI-P3 gamut, supports 10-bit colour and Dolby Vision, and integrates DisplayPort 2.1a UHBR20, HDMI 2.1 and USB-C with 90W power delivery.
The 34-inch Swift OLED PG34WCDN uses a curved WQHD QD-OLED panel at 360Hz with a 0.03ms response time. It includes ROG BlackShield film, which the company said improves scratch resistance by 2.5 times versus prior QD-OLED panels and enhances perceived black levels by up to 40%.
Both monitors form part of a wider ROG OLED range that offers OLED Care Pro features and AI-based gaming image adjustments such as Dynamic Shadow Boost and Dynamic Crosshair.
In spatial computing, ROG has partnered with XREAL on the ROG XREAL R1 Gaming Glasses. The glasses incorporate what the companies describe as the world's first 240Hz micro-OLED Full HD AR display in a gaming-focused headset, and connect via a dedicated ROG Control Dock.
The glasses render a 1920 x 1080 image at 240Hz with motion-to-photon latency of 3ms. ROG said users can view a virtual 171-inch screen at 4 metres with up to a 57-degree field of view.
The R1 handles rendering and tracking on-device and offers a native three degrees-of-freedom anchor mode that fixes screen alignment relative to the viewer. Electrochromic lenses adjust transparency according to ambient light, while audio has been tuned by Bose.
Design collaborations
ROG is extending its longstanding relationship with game creators through a new partnership with Kojima Productions. The tie-up centres on the ROG Flow Z13-KJP 2-in-1 device and a set of matching peripherals.
The Flow Z13-KJP runs on an AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor with Radeon 8060S graphics and a 50 TOPS NPU. It has a 13.4-inch 2.5K Nebula HDR touchscreen at 180Hz. The chassis design draws on Kojima Productions' Ludens mascot, with artwork by Yoji Shinkawa.
