Ricoh Australia unveils new A4 colour laser printers series
Ricoh Australia has announced the introduction of a new series of compact, feature-rich A4 colour laser devices aimed at helping businesses optimise workflows, enhance data security, and reduce environmental impact. This new lineup includes the IM C320F and M C320FW A4 colour multifunction printers (MFP), along with the P C375 single-function printer. These devices are tailored for decentralised offices, frontline services, and large enterprises.
The IM C320F and M C320FW models come standard with capabilities for copying, printing, scanning, and faxing. The M C320FW model additionally offers wireless connectivity. The P C375 functions solely as an A4 colour printer. Both multifunction printers are equipped with a Single-Pass Document Feeder (SPDF), enabling rapid scanning of double-sided documents, and have a maximum paper input capacity of 800 sheets when an additional paper feed tray is used. The P C375, on the other hand, offers a larger paper input capacity of 1,300 sheets, making it suitable for high-traffic areas to reduce printer downtime and boost productivity.
Sustainability features prominently in the design of these new devices. The IM C320F, M C320FW, and P C375 models are constructed using 50% post-consumer recycled plastic. Packaging has been reduced by 31%, and new energy-saving, high-efficiency toner has allowed the elimination of plastic toner bags. Additionally, toner cartridge labels are now laser-engraved.
Ricoh has integrated several energy-saving technologies, including a more thermally efficient transfer unit and toner with a lower melting point, which contribute to best-in-class Typical Energy Consumption (TEC) values. These features are designed to support environmentally conscious business practices.
Security protocols have also been a focal point in the development of these devices. All models feature Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3), WPA3 wireless security, SNMPv3, user code authentication, SMTP over SSL/TLS, and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) communication. These measures aim to prevent unauthorised access to the device and network, thereby protecting confidential information. The IM C320F and P C375 models further include machine data encryption, encrypted PDF mode, secure print, and an "Erase All Memory" function to securely wipe data at the end of the machine's life.
The newly launched devices come with several noteworthy features. The IM C320F, described as an Intelligent MFP, brings A3 equivalent solutions within a compact A4 device. It boasts a 7" Smart Operation Panel, sGW controller, Bluetooth 5.2, and Ricoh Always Current Technology, which allows users to download the latest features and security updates as they become available. The M C320FW, characterised as an Essential MFP, offers steady performance and is easy to set up with QR codes. It is designed to be cost-effective with a 4.3" touch panel, Primax controller, and enhanced Ricoh Web API functionality for device management solutions. The P C375 is presented as a mid-range A4 colour print-only device with a 4-line LCD panel and low-cost printing, suitable for office environments that require only printing functionality.
Sul Koralege, Product Manager of Ricoh Australia, commented on the launch, saying, "Australian businesses today are dealing with the challenges of optimising their print infrastructure to enable a hybrid workforce - balancing sustainability, productivity, and security." Koralege further added, "A smart solution for agile workplaces, the new Ricoh A4 Colour Laser MFP and Print devices reinforce our ongoing commitment to innovation, sustainability, and supporting modern work environments. We look forward to seeing the positive impact of helping customers make eco-responsible purchases to achieve their sustainability targets and minimise their environmental footprint."
