Recast names Jake Mosey chief product officer to boost Intune tools

Thu, 8th Jan 2026

Recast has appointed former Jamf executive Jake Mosey as Chief Product Officer, strengthening its senior leadership as demand grows for its application and endpoint management tools.

The Minneapolis-based company said Mosey will oversee product strategy across its portfolio, which includes Application Workspace and Right Click Tools. He will focus on using customer feedback and community input to guide product development.

Mosey joins Recast after 17 years at Apple device management specialist Jamf. He most recently served there as Vice President of Small and Medium-Sized Business Markets. He previously held several strategic roles in product and market development.

At Jamf he helped found Jamf Nation, a community for IT systems administrators. The group became a forum for IT professionals who discussed productivity, security and day-to-day management tasks. Jamf used those exchanges as input for product direction and market expansion.

Recast positions itself as a provider of tools for IT teams that use Microsoft Intune and Configuration Manager in large organisations. Its software focuses on application delivery, automation and endpoint security across corporate devices.

Product leadership

In his new role, Mosey will be responsible for defining Recast's product roadmap and aligning it with the needs of its global user base. The company said he will concentrate on formalising feedback loops from its community into product planning.

Recast said it manages more than 60 million endpoints across all continents. It reports more than 70,000 global users and customers in over 125 countries.

The company has been expanding a set of free tools for IT administrators. It added OSDCloud to its portfolio in 2025 and introduced a version of Right Click Tools for Intune in the same year. These products sit alongside its commercial offerings.

Recast said its user community has grown rapidly around these tools. Participants share deployment practices, automation scripts and troubleshooting approaches. The company plans to draw more directly on this activity under Mosey's leadership.

Chief Executive Officer Will Teevan said the appointment comes as more organisations adopt cloud-based device management, including Microsoft Intune.

"The market is rapidly evolving, and Recast is attuned to how these shifts are profoundly affecting our customers," said Will Teevan, CEO, Recast. "An ever-increasing number of organizations adopts Intune each year, and our solutions work beautifully in tandem with this technology. With his finger on the pulse of the IT community, Jake will ensure the voice of the customer informs our strategy in creative new ways as we continue to help our 70,000+ global users navigate a changing industry."

Recast said Application Workspace and Right Click Tools extend functions in existing management platforms. The products give IT departments options for automation and remediation across Windows and other corporate endpoints.

Community focus

The company has highlighted its free community tools as a route into its ecosystem. OSDCloud focuses on operating system deployment in cloud-centric environments. Right Click Tools for Intune brings its long-running systems management utilities into Microsoft's cloud management platform.

Mosey is expected to play a visible role in these communities, including direct engagement with systems administrators. Recast said this input will influence decisions on new features and longer-term product priorities.

Mosey said he had been drawn by the scale and engagement of Recast's existing user network.

"I'm impressed by the momentum Recast has built, with customers in more than 125 countries and a community that deeply values the work this team has done," Mosey said. "That passion speaks to the importance of the problems we're solving. I'm excited to work closely with our customers and community. When we combine empathy with thoughtful, disciplined strategy, we can make the modern workplace work better while continuing to grow Recast in a meaningful way."

Recast said it will continue investment in both its paid and free tools as it tracks demand for Intune and Configuration Manager. The company plans further enhancements aimed at IT teams seeking broader automation and visibility across growing fleets of endpoints.
