Yesterday

Altay Ayyuce has been appointed as the new Area Vice President for Australia and New Zealand at Pure Storage.

Ayyuce, who has been part of Pure Storage for five years, will succeed Amy Rushall, who relocates to the United States to serve as Area Vice President, Strategy and Development for the Americas region. Reporting directly to Nathan Hall, Vice President and General Manager for Asia Pacific & Japan, Ayyuce will assume responsibility for overseeing operations and driving business growth in the Australian and New Zealand markets.

Ayyuce's appointment comes at a time when the IT sector in Australia and New Zealand is undergoing substantial evolution. Trends such as consumption-based models, generative AI, and rising cyber threats are reshaping the landscape. Pure Storage's recent research highlights that over 80% of CIOs and IT leaders in Australia express concern about their existing IT infrastructure's capability to keep pace with advancements in AI. As such, a modern, secure, and scalable data storage platform is essential to fully harness data potential.

With nearly three decades of experience in IT and telecommunications across the ANZ region, Ayyuce is anticipated to provide strategic leadership and expertise in navigating these technological developments. His history of assisting customers in translating technology into business results positions him to effectively address the fast-evolving challenges posed by AI, hybrid cloud solutions, and cyber resilience demands.

Nathan Hall, commenting on the appointment, stated, "Australia and New Zealand have always been one of our most important markets in the APJ region and we are delighted that Altay has accepted the challenge to lead our business here. He has been a consistently outstanding leader for Pure Storage over the past five years with an unwavering focus on customer success and I am confident he can take us to even greater heights."

Various organisations including AUCloud, Cumulus VFX, St George's Hospital, Toyota Financial Services, and the University of Western Australia, have already utilised Pure Storage's technology to optimise data management and resource efficiency. As they face continuous technological advancements, they seek solutions that are not only sophisticated but also adaptable to future needs.
