PPDS boosts team with two key AV expert appointments

PPDS, the provider of Philips Professional Displays, has announced the appointments of two experienced AV experts, Robert Luther and Brandon Wilkinson.

Robert Luther and Brandon Wilkinson bring more than 50 years of combined experience, spanning sales, project management, and engineering roles within some of the world's most established AV manufacturers, distributors, and resellers. Their expertise is expected to be pivotal in driving the company's growth, particularly in the indoor and outdoor LED markets.

In his new role, Robert Luther has been named Director of dvLED Sales and Support at PPDS. Luther began his career as a production assistant for the NFL’s Buffalo Bills in 2011 and has focused on dvLED for the past five years. He most recently served as Product Manager for LED at Ross Video and held the position of Business Development Manager dvLED at Exertis, a PPDS distribution partner.

Commenting on his new responsibilities, Luther said, “Using my extensive experience, I will be working with PPDS sales and product management teams to develop dvLED go-to-market strategies. This includes identifying new sales opportunities and developing relationships with both existing and new channel partners to ensure seamless project completions and user experiences.”

Luther will also influence the future of Philips dvLED products and solutions by collaborating closely with partners and customers to understand and gather feedback on additional product requirements, particularly those specific to the US market. This feedback will be relayed to the global product management team.

Brandon Wilkinson has been appointed as the new Field Application Engineer at PPDS. With a career that began in 1993 at leading AV integrator Ford AV, Wilkinson has owned and worked for various professional AV and commercial AV businesses, holding senior roles in sales, operations, and management.

In the past five years, Wilkinson has specialized in the integration of AV solutions in different market verticals, including monitors, displays, projectors, speakers, interactive touchscreens, and mounts. He has served as Pre and Post Sales Engineer, focusing on project planning and sales.

Reflecting on his new role, Wilkinson said, “This wealth of experience will aid me in supporting customers and PPDS sales teams, both virtually and in person, with a primary emphasis on digital signage.”

The appointments of Luther and Wilkinson are part of PPDS's strategic initiatives to enhance its market position and support its aspirations in the indoor and outdoor LED sectors.
