Pax8 hires former Microsoft leader to drive APAC growth

Mon, 19th Jan 2026

Pax8 has appointed Sarah Bowden as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Asia-Pacific, adding a former Microsoft executive to lead the company's regional sales and marketing strategy.

Bowden joins Pax8 after 15 years at Microsoft, where she most recently led Microsoft's Asia channel and partner ecosystem. Pax8 said she will lead partner engagement across the region and report to Lindsay Zwart, Executive Vice President and General Manager of APAC at Pax8.

The appointment comes as technology vendors and channel partners across Asia-Pacific adjust to changes in cloud procurement and the growing prominence of marketplaces. Pax8 operates a cloud commerce marketplace and works with managed service providers and other channel partners.

Regional brief

Pax8 said Bowden will run the region's sales and marketing strategy and oversee partner engagement. The company positioned the role around partner-led growth across APAC.

Zwart said Bowden's background in partner and ISV sales fitted Pax8's plans for the region.

"We are thrilled to have Sarah bring her extensive partner and industry experience to Pax8," said Lindsay Zwart, Executive Vice President and General Manager of APAC, Pax8. "Sarah's growth mindset, knowledge of the region along with her partner and ISV sales experience make her the perfect fit to drive our continued growth and success across APAC."

Pax8 did not disclose specific targets for the role, or any changes to its regional organisational structure that might follow the appointment.

Microsoft background

At Microsoft, Bowden held senior leadership roles across Asia. Pax8 said her Microsoft career spanned enterprise, small and midmarket customers, startups and independent software vendors.

The company said Bowden's work focused on partner strategy, go-to-market execution and partner models linked to cloud, data and AI. Pax8 also said she is a certified ICF executive coach and has experience developing leaders and teams.

Bowden described the role as a response to fast-moving changes across the region and a shift in partner priorities.

"I'm excited to be joining Pax8 at an important moment for partners across APAC," said Bowden. "The pace of change across the region presents a significant opportunity, and Pax8's partner-first model and market-leading Marketplace, combined with a strong focus on innovation, create the right foundation for accelerated growth. I'm looking forward to working with our teams, partner community and vendors to support sustainable growth, bring greater clarity to a fast-changing market, and deliver meaningful, measurable impact across APAC."

Partner focus

Pax8 positions its business around a marketplace model that connects vendors, channel partners and small and mid-sized businesses. The company said it works with a global partner ecosystem of more than 47,000 managed service providers.

In Asia-Pacific, channel strategy has become a larger focus for many software vendors as customers change how they buy cloud services and software subscriptions. The region also includes markets with different compliance regimes, procurement norms and distribution structures. That mix has increased the emphasis on local partner ecosystems and regional go-to-market execution.

Pax8 has described Bowden's remit as strengthening partner engagement and driving growth across APAC. It also said the role will involve bringing clarity to a changing channel landscape.

Bowden will start the role in January 2026, with responsibility for sales and marketing across the Asia-Pacific region under Zwart's leadership.
