FYI, this story is more than a year old

OKI is expanding its channel in Australia and New Zealand, by forging a new partnership with Cartridge World.

As one of the world's leading specialty ink and cartridge retailers, Cartridge World will be reselling OKI devices at its franchise stores around Australia and New Zealand.

Its stores carry a large range of hardware and consumables to suit most home, office, and small business needs.

Tony Kernahan, chief executive officer of Cartridge World Australia and New Zealand, says they've taken on OKI as they see their overall offering as a great market opportunity.

“OKI's products are very reliable and their breadth of range enables us to offer new feature functionality not currently available through our channel,” he says.

“In addition, OKI presents a huge opportunity in the SME market where the big copier people don't tend to play but where the OKI range is actually very attractive.

Oki Data Australia started out in 2009, followed by New Zealand in 2015. Over 30 years ago OKI pioneered LED printing technology, an advanced form of printing using fewer parts compared with the more widely known laser printing.     Greg Mikaelian, Oceanic Sales Manager of OKI Data Australia - New Zealand, says they're delighted to be working with Cartridge World as it is one of the world's leading franchise organisations.

“Cartridge World's breadth of franchise network as well as their professional, consultative and support services, ensures customers will receive maximum return on their OKI investment," he says.

OKI Data New Zealand was established in October 2015 because OKI's master distributor in New Zealand - Comworth Technologies – realigned its business focus and exit distribution.
