Nuix to explore ethical AI at 2024 conference series

Nuix is set to host its second XLR8 conference, focusing on the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and humanity within an ethical, civic, and responsible framework. The event aims to address how organisations can navigate the implications of AI while safeguarding ethical standards.

The conference will feature Brendan Dowling, Australian Ambassador for Cyber Affairs and Critical Technology from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, as the keynote speaker. Dowling will elaborate on Australia's ambitions regarding AI readiness, discussing ethical frameworks, data management practices, and investments in critical skills and infrastructure designed to establish competitive companies and trust in AI technology.

Rubinsztein highlighted the dual nature of AI's impact. Nuix XLR8/2024 aims to gather global experts committed to protecting their organisations and communities by uncovering the truth from complex data. The conference will take place in three major cities: Sydney, London, and Nashville, and is expected to attract over 1,000 professionals dedicated to ensuring data integrity and organisational security.

The first event in Sydney is scheduled for 4 September, followed by the London conference on 1 October, with the final session in Nashville on 10 October. In Nashville, the Hon. Jeff Bleich, former US Ambassador to Australia and Deputy Chair of the Nuix Board, will deliver the opening address on the topic of "Technology, Truth and Trust." Other notable speakers include Liesl Yearsley Akin, CEO and AI pioneer in Australia; Dennis Chornenky, CEO of Domelabs AI in the US and Chief AI Advisor at UC Davis Health; Bryant Isbell, Managing Director at Baker Mackenzie; and Robert Veres, Chief Information Security Officer at Colonial First State.
