Global technology services provider NTT Ltd has been named as a Leader in IDC's Marketscape: Asia/Pacific Managed Security Services 2020 Vendor Assessment.
The report evaluated NTT and 19 other managed security services (MSS) providers based on
NTT was ranked as a leader due to the breadth of its MSS portfolio, which includes threat detection and managed network services.
NTT's portfolio expanded last year after the company amalgamated several brands, including NTT Security and Dimension Data.
The IDC report recognises NTT's proficiency in managed cloud security and cloud-based security services, as well as its expertise in cyber threat detection and its cyber threat intelligence framework.
Commenting on NTT's ranking as a leader, NTT's CEO of security Matthew Gyde says that the recognition is an affirmation of NTT's cybersecurity expertise, and its approach that is led by consulting.
“With the ever-evolving cybersecurity landscape and increasing security risks, businesses are looking to strategic partners for innovative solutions to bolster their cyber resilience. Predictive threat intelligence, in particular, is expected to reach new heights. To provide clients with timely and actionable threat detection and threat intelligence, NTT remains committed to improving its service delivery standards while investing in R-D to develop advanced analysis techniques and proprietary tools.
He adds that the company's threat detection systems use supervised machine learning and threat intelligence for approximately 75% of detected threats in the company's security operations centres.
The company is able to access log, event, attack, incident and vulnerability data, allowing it to gather threat intelligence to help clients detect emerging threats, mitigate security risks and respond to breaches.
“Of course, organisations can never be 100% protected from a cyber attack, but we can help them take a proactive approach by putting cybersecurity at the core of their business. NTT Ltd.'s expertise in advanced security services, and reputation as a leading MSS provider, will ensure its clients are putting the right protection in place from the start – across business process, technology, services and people,” says Gyde.
NTT was also recently ranked in Gartner's 2020 Critical Capabilities for Network Services, Global and the 2020 Magic Quadrant for Network Services, Global.
“NTT's position is based on the company's ‘ability to execute' and ‘completeness of vision',” comments NTT ICT infrastructure services senior vice president Masaaki Moribayashi.
“We believe NTT is the only global services provider that is innovating and investing heavily in every layer of network infrastructure – from Mobile, Internet, Cloud, Data Center, Security and SD-WAN services. This enables NTT to offer comprehensive and differentiated end-to-end SD-WAN networking solutions with enhanced end-user experience for our clients”.
