NTT DATA & Palo Alto partner on cybersecurity service
NTT DATA has partnered with Palo Alto Networks to launch a new Managed Extended Detection and Response (MXDR) service aimed at enhancing cybersecurity for enterprises.
The MXDR service, underpinned by Palo Alto Networks' Cortex XSIAM, provides continuous monitoring, AI-driven threat detection, and swift response capabilities to protect cloud, network, and edge environments. By employing artificial intelligence and machine learning, the platform streamlines security operations by offering full visibility and automation to help organisations counter evolving threats.
The key features of the MXDR service include comprehensive network and device visibility, AI-driven detection and response to minimise risks, a unified platform with a single user interface for simplified security operations, and integrated automated services for maintaining business continuity globally.
The projected increase in worldwide end-user spending on security to USD $212 billion by 2025, per Gartner, accentuates the significance of such solutions in addressing fragmented security systems, lowering complexity and operational costs, and boosting cyber resilience.
"Many organisations rely on fragmented security systems, making it harder to detect advanced threats, and react quickly," remarked Sheetal Mehta, Global Head of Cybersecurity at NTT DATA. "By partnering with Palo Alto Networks, we're delivering a unified solution that strengthens cyber resilience, streamlines security operations and improves overall agility."
Kristy Friedrichs, Chief Partnerships Officer at Palo Alto Networks, commented, "Organisations today are facing an unprecedented volume of sophisticated cyber threats, across their entire operations. With NTT DATA, we are helping organisations transform their SOC through platformization with XSIAM and expert services, delivering a unified solution that ensures customers can modernise and protect their operations with confidence."
The service offers 24/7 incident detection and response, supported by a global operations team. It utilises AI-driven threat intelligence orchestration and automation, backed by machine learning for enhanced threat detection, supported by skilled information security managers, threat hunters, digital forensic experts, and certified security professionals.
By integrating real-time threat intelligence, NTT DATA seeks to proactively safeguard clients against emerging risks, aiming to reduce operational complexity, improve resource management, and lower total cost of ownership (TCO).
The collaboration specifically targets industries such as manufacturing, chemical, and pharmaceutical sectors that depend on secure, connected environments. The benefits include comprehensive security from edge to cloud, AI-powered threat detection and response for faster mitigation, reduced complexity and TCO through a singular platform, and resilience against downtime with automated services ensuring continuity and global reach.
This latest development underscores the strategic alliance between NTT DATA and Palo Alto Networks, both of which continue to commit to delivering secure, connected environments for enterprises worldwide. NTT DATA operates in 50 countries, providing local expertise in tandem with global cybersecurity solutions, supported by more than 7,500 cybersecurity professionals and handling over 15,000 security engagements each year, resulting in the mitigation of 2 billion security threats annually.
