NextGen takes top Oracle global partner award

NextGen has brought home a global Oracle partner award for its work in creating cloud solutions based on Oracle products.

The distributor won the 2017 Oracle Excellence Award for Specialised Partner of the Year – Global in VAD Cloud.

The award, presented at Oracle Openworld in San Francisco earlier this month, recognises NextGen’s ‘commitment to deliver innovative, specialised solutions and services based on Oracle software and hardware’.

John Walters, NextGen group chief executive officer, says the award is ‘a very significant recognition by Oracle and our partners that a small Aussie company can innovate and make a difference on the global stage’.

Steve McLoughlin, Oracle Australia and New Zealand general manager of alliances and channel, says NextGen has demonstrated an outstanding level of innovation in delivering proven, Oracle-based cloud solutions that solve joint customers’ most critical business challenges.

“This achievement is a testament to their dedication to excellence and to providing customers cloud solutions and services that drive real value and results.”

Walters, who received the award at Openworld, says “We invested early and heavily into Oracle’s cloud strategy and we are pleased to see that it is beginning ot get some serious traction in the market.”

Walters says the distributor, which has recently established an Oracle Cloud Centre of Excellence in its new Sydney offices, will continue to invest with Oracle to drive cloud adoption.

The global award comes on top of NextGen’s win of the Value Added Distributor Partner of the Year at Oracle’s annual ANZ Partner Awards in late July. The distributor is a platinum level member of Oracle Partner Network,
