Netpoleon, LogRhythm sign Australian distribution partnership

FYI, this story is more than a year old

LogRhythm has signed a new Australian distribution partnership with Netpoleon, enabling both companies to push enterprise cybersecurity solutions further into the local market.

Netpoleon is an established distributor in Asia Pacific, operating in eight Asia Pacific countries and headquartered in Singapore.

As an Australian value-add distributor, Netpoleon will deliver LogRhythm's next-generation security incident event management (SIEM), as well as capabilities including endpoint monitoring, log management, network monitoring, and security analytics.

LogRhythm Asia Pacific VP sales Simon Howe says the partnership aims to protect organisations from security threats, both now and in the future.

“[Netpoleon's] cybersecurity skills, experience and market recognition will complement our solutions' innovation and NextGen SIEM platform leadership to provide Australian enterprises with industry leading threat detection and response capabilities, including analytics and security orchestration, automation and response (SOAR) in a single platform.

LogRhythm also states that its advanced NextGen SIEM also includes an option for network traffic analysis, including full packet capture, layer 2-7 deep packet inspection and analysis with automatic identification of over 3,500 applications that are fully integrated with the SIEM.

He adds that LogRhythm's recent acquisition of cloud-based analytics platform MistNet will also benefit Australian partners, thanks to intelligent, machine learning-based detection and response capabilities to solve current and emerging security and risk problems.

LogRhythm acquired Mistnet in January, with the aim of enabling LogRhythm to deliver machine-learning based detection and response capabilities. These capabilities include network detection, user and entity behaviour analytics (UEBA), endpoint detection and response data (EDR), and additional MITRE ATT-CK detections.

Netpoleon ANZ regional director Paul Lim says organisations are looking for solutions that can detect and neutralise cyber threats before a breach happens - particularly after the ‘new normal' of remote work caused by COVID-19.

"The reputational, operational, legal and compliance implications could be considerable if cybersecurity risks are neglected. Cyber attackers see the pandemic as an opportunity to step up their criminal activities by exploiting the vulnerability of employees working from home,” says Lim.

"Companies need to make their remote working practices resilient to cyber attacks and enhance their development and application of security measures. Our strategic partnership with LogRhythm will ensure that our customers will continue to stay ahead of the curve by reducing the likelihood and impact of a cyber attack."

Netpoleon Group is a Value-Added Distributor (VAD) of Network Security products, headquartered in Singapore with various full-fledged offices across APAC region in Australia, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
