FYI, this story is more than a year old

Glenn McPherson has been appointed to the role of Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand.

A NetApp spokesperson confirmed to Channel Life that McPherson will be replacing Steve Manley.

“He has taken over for Steve Manley who, after successfully leading the ANZ team for nearly three years,  has been promoted to the role of VP for NetApp South Pacific, which comprises of ANZ and ASEAN,” a spokesperson said.

Prior to this new appointment, McPherson was the regional director of Sales for NetApp for just over four years.

Before joining the NetApp team, he held roles within sales and account managing roles with Cisco, Genesys, Telstra and Hewlett-Packard.

Manley has been with NetApp since 2008, where he started his time with the company as an account executive.

This recent announcement follows the company's partner awards a few weeks ago. Comstor, Intalock, Telstra, Katana 1 and Diversus Group were among the winners on the night.

Intalock took home the award for New Partner of the Year, Diversus Group took out Gold Reseller of the Year, and Comstor took home the award for Converged Infrastructure Excellence.

NetApp also recently celebrated growth in the New Zealand market, holding a BBQ lunch for Comstor, NetApp and over 150 partners in Auckland and Wellington.
