Mindera launches Australian branch with David Furletti at helm
Mindera, a notable software development and technology consulting firm, has officially launched its Australian branch, Mindera Australia. The organisation aims to provide advanced business advisory and technology consulting services to companies across the region.
The Australian arm will be under the leadership of David Furletti, who has been appointed as Managing Director. Furletti, who brings over 18 years of experience in multinational corporations such as Burberry, Sky, and Yoox Net-a-porter, previously worked as the Director of Digital Engineering & Operations at Burberry. There, he significantly contributed to the company's digital transformation efforts.
Speaking about his new role, Furletti stated, "I'm delighted to be establishing Mindera in the Australian market. Our team is uniquely positioned to create purposeful technology and deliver real value to our customers by combining local expertise with the strength of our global network."
Furletti will work closely with Tiago Nunes, appointed as the Chief Technology Officer for the region. Nunes, who has over 16 years of engineering experience, has had an extensive tenure at Mindera, leading teams and consulting for clients such as Farfetch, Yoox Net-a-porter, Burberry, Waitrose, Euronext, and Serge Ferrari. Nunes has relocated to Australia to helm the technical team, direct technical strategy, and manage project implementation for Mindera's regional clients.
At its inception, Mindera Australia will be collaborating with luxury Australian retailer David Jones to assist in advancing its digital strategy and transformation. The partnership underscores the company's commitment to supporting high-profile clients in achieving their technological goals.
The CEO and Founder of Mindera, Paul Evans, expressed enthusiasm for the Australian expansion. "Our expansion into Australia is exciting for the entire company and a testament to our commitment to providing top-tier technology solutions, systems integration, and business consulting services globally," Evans remarked. He further highlighted Furletti's leadership qualities: "I am also pleased to welcome David to the Mindera team. David's exceptional technological understanding, dedication, and excellent strategic capabilities will be vital for this new chapter in Australia."
In his comments, Furletti also emphasised the significance of the partnership with David Jones. He noted, "It's a pleasure to announce David Jones as our flagship client – a brand which is synonymous with luxury and a much-loved Australian business." He expressed optimism about their contribution to making Australia a world-leading hub for technology.
David Furletti and Tiago Nunes will benefit from Mindera's expansive global network of 1,200 professionals, including engineers, product specialists, designers, testers, and architects. The Australian team will receive additional support from colleagues in the United States, Vietnam, and India and offshore assistance from Europe.
This move marks an important milestone in Mindera's global growth strategy, expanding its footprint from its origins in Portugal to include operations in the United States, the United Kingdom, Romania, India, Brazil, Spain, and Morocco. The firm now aims to solidify its presence and expand its influence in the Australian market, with an eye on sectors such as retail, fashion, and fintech.
