Leader Computers joins Synnex and Altech as Corsair distie
PC hardware vendor Corsair has continued its Australian distribution expansion, appointing Leader Computers as a distributor for its full product portfolio.
The new deal sees Leader join Synnex and Altech in offering Corsair memory, PC component and gaming peripheral products, including DRAM, SSDs, USB flash drives, PSUs, cases, coolers and cooling control devices, fans, keyboards, mice, headsets and mouse mats.
The move comes as the PC market enters a new upgrade cycle with DDR4 and next-gen CPU and GPU platforms that cater to the latest gaming trends, such as 4K resolution gaming.
Theo Kristoris, Leader Computers managing director, says the addition of Corsair to its portfolio will help its resellers grow and be profitable.
"Corsair has gone from strength to strength in the Australian market, offering high performance and world leading IT products," Kristoris says.
"We see the addition of this strong brand to our range will help our resellers continue to grow and reach their goals.
The distributor, which is also Australia's largest Australian-owned tablet, notebook, desktop and server manufacturer, says its goal is to assist resellers by providing products with outstanding support, service and marketing.
Bertrand Chevalier, Corsair senior vice president of worldwide sales, says with Leader on board the vendor will be able to increase the numbers of resellers and the geographical reach of its Australian distribution network while also exploring previously untapped business opportunities including the high-end system builder channel.
Kristoris says Leader Computers has gone through 'significant' growth recently, opening new warehouses in Silverwater, NSW and Springvale, Victoria. The new warehouses add to the distributor's network of warehouses, with other branches in Cooparoo in Queensland and Adelaide.
"We will stock the full range in all these warehouses," Kristoris says.
