Interim channel manager appointed at Dell EMC as Geoff Wright moves on

Geoff Wright has left Dell EMC and his role as channel manager within the company.

In a statement, Dell EMC says, “Geoff Wright has decided to leave the company and pursue other opportunities outside of Dell EMC. We thank Geoff for this contributions over his three years in the role.

Shant Soghomonian has been appointed as the interim channel general manager for Dell EMC Australia and New Zealand with responsibility for the Dell EMC partner programme and the sales of Dell EMC solutions in collaboration with partners.

Soghomonian has held numerous channel leadership positions in the Dell EMC business during his 10-year tenure. Most recently, as director of channel strategy for Asia Pacific and Japan.

“The channel continues to play a pivotal role in the success of our business across the Asia Pacific region, particularly in ANZ which is a fast-paced industry leading market,” says Dell EMC Asia Pacific and Japan channels general manager and senior vice president Tian Beng Ng.

Shant's career at Dell EMC spans over 10 years where he has served in multiple APJ leadership roles at both EMC and VMware including Lenovo Alliance, Director of Channel Sales, Distribution, Service Provider as well as Global Systems Integrators Alliances.

Prior to joining VMware Shant has also held sales and management roles at Symantec, VERITAS and Ingram Micro.

Dell EMC has been pushing its growth in the ANZ channel over the last year, including the recent appointment of Dicker Data as a distributor in New Zealand.

The company has not been short of announcements with a range of alliance partnerships, upgrades, integrations and product launches that have seen the company continuing to expand its presence in the enterprise data infrastructure market.
