Informatica & AWS launch new tools to boost trusted AI agents

Fri, 5th Dec 2025

Informatica has announced a series of new integrations with Amazon Web Services aimed at supporting enterprises in building trusted AI agents and applications. These integrations focus on unifying and governing data, a key requirement as organisations seek to scale artificial intelligence projects within enterprise environments.

MCP servers launch

The company introduced Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers that allow organisations to create autonomous AI agents in Amazon Bedrock AgentCore through Informatica's data management services. These MCP servers enable developers to connect Informatica's Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) to Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, enhancing data integration, governance, and quality for agent-based systems.

The approach is designed to allow customers to develop agents capable of accessing and acting on governed data in near real-time. This is intended to improve accuracy, traceability, and compliance in automated operations that rely on AI agents.

Informatica also achieved AWS Agentic AI Specialisation within the AWS AI Competency programme. This recognises its capacity to help customers implement self-operating AI systems that can manage complex business processes without constant human intervention.

Platform integration

The company's CLAIRE AI Engine now integrates Anthropic's Claude large language models via Amazon Bedrock. This is positioned to enhance Informatica's agent services in key areas such as data integration, data quality, governance, and Master Data Management.

By using Anthropic Claude through Amazon Bedrock, CLAIRE Agents can carry out advanced functions like schema grounding, SQL optimisation, and semantic query generation, areas crucial to enterprises seeking to ensure their data systems are efficient and trusted.

Enterprise blueprint

Informatica has also updated its Enterprise Agent Blueprint framework for use with Amazon Bedrock AgentCore. The blueprint is intended to guide organisations and partners in designing, scaling, and deploying agentic AI systems that meet enterprise requirements for governance, security, and performance.

The framework makes use of Informatica's connectors, MCP servers, and API layer to help enterprises deliver scalable and compliant autonomous agents more quickly.

Lakehouse connector

General availability has been announced for Informatica's Cloud Data Integration (CDI) connector for Amazon SageMaker Lakehouse. This connector enables organisations to bring data from over 300 sources and develop no-code or low-code pipelines for machine learning, generative AI, and analytics projects.

The connector supports Apache Iceberg to offer flexible and interoperable access to large datasets, simplifying how data is prepared, transformed, and operationalised for analytics and AI workloads on AWS.

Industry recognition

In addition to these technical updates, Informatica received two AWS Partner Awards for 2025: Industry Partner of the Year in Healthcare & Life Sciences (Technology) - Global, and the Sustainability Partner of the Year (Nomination-Based Award) - Global.

"As AI becomes more autonomous, the quality and governance of the underlying data become critical," said Krish Vitaldevara, Chief Product Officer, Informatica. "Our collaboration with AWS empowers customers to confidently build intelligent, compliant agents with the best of Amazon Bedrock AgentCore and Informatica's enterprise data management expertise. Being recognised with two AWS Partner Awards further underscores the impact we're driving for customers."

"We selected Informatica on AWS as part of a best-in-breed approach. We were impressed by its strong product vision and its AI-powered capabilities that align perfectly with our long-term roadmap," said Benoit Abadie, Group Deputy CIO, Emeria Group. "Informatica's cloud platform gives us the trusted, high-quality data foundation we need to explore new opportunities in automation and AI accelerating innovation and improving decision-making across the Emeria Group."

"As enterprises begin exploring agentic AI, they need trusted data foundations to power these intelligent agents and deliver real business value," said Rahul Pathak, Vice President of Data and AI GTM at AWS. "Through our collaboration with Informatica, customers can now seamlessly connect their enterprise data from Informatica's Intelligent Data Management Cloud platform to Amazon Bedrock AgentCore. This allows them to build agents that are secure, context-aware, and ready to drive innovation at scale."
