iCatalyst to bring SIS construction ERP to Australia

Thu, 19th Mar 2026

iCatalyst has been appointed as SIS's Australian partner, bringing the US-based construction ERP specialist's products to the local market through a Microsoft-focused reseller and implementation firm.

Under the Representation Agreement, iCatalyst can sell, implement and support SIS software in Australia, including Construction 365, a construction-specific ERP platform built on Microsoft Dynamics 365.

SIS operates in construction and other project-based sectors. With more than 25 years' experience, it has delivered implementations across the Americas, EMEA and the United Kingdom. Its products sit alongside Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, adding functions tailored to industry-specific requirements.

Mark Kershteyn, Partner at SIS, said the deal supports the company's expansion plans.

"Our solutions are purpose-built for project-based organisations, including construction, engineering and professional services firms," said Mark Kershteyn, Partner, SIS. "As one of the leading Microsoft Business Applications partners in Australia, we recognised that iCatalyst has the experience and capability to represent our brand in the Australian market. Partnering with iCatalyst allows us to bring our expertise to the Australian market through a local partner committed to delivering quality outcomes for their customers."

Market focus

The agreement targets Australian construction and adjacent sectors such as architecture, engineering and construction. These organisations often use project-based accounting and manage contract variations, progress claims, retention and compliance reporting.

iCatalyst has seen increased demand from local organisations managing complex project costing, billing and compliance. The firm works with Microsoft Dynamics 365 customers and positions SIS products as a sector-specific option for organisations that want construction-focused processes on top of Microsoft's core ERP.

Justin Martin, Director at iCatalyst, said the partnership followed extended discussions and a review of options available to Dynamics 365 ERP customers in construction and the wider AEC market.

"We have a number of customers and prospects in these sectors across the country. To meet their unique requirements around project cost management, we knew we needed a key partner with a proven track record specifically in the construction sector - be it civil, head contractors and/or specialised contractors," said Justin Martin, Director, iCatalyst.

Martin also highlighted SIS's position in the Microsoft partner ecosystem.

"This is a unique partnership enabling iCatalyst to address the construction and other complex projects-based industries in Australia with a highly reputable, proven and market leading solution built within the Dynamics 365 ERP platform. SIS is the only Microsoft partner 100% dedicated to the construction and project-based industries," said Martin.

Localisation work

The two companies are working on localisation for Australia, including local reporting standards, compliance requirements and industry terminology. The effort appears focused on day-to-day operational fit, not just technical deployment.

Localisation is a common step for overseas ERP suppliers entering Australia, particularly in construction. Contractors and project-based service firms face specific reporting expectations from clients, financiers and regulators, and rely on contractual language and billing conventions that vary by market.

For iCatalyst, the partnership expands its Microsoft Business Applications portfolio. As a Microsoft Solutions Partner, the firm has built its services around Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform, and will handle implementation and ongoing support for Australian customers adopting SIS products.

For SIS, the appointment provides a local route to market without building an Australian services team at the outset, placing delivery with a partner already working with Dynamics 365 customers in relevant industries.

Both companies said initial efforts will focus on aligning the software suite with Australian requirements, ahead of broader market activity through iCatalyst's customer base and sales pipeline.
