Hygraph strengthens leadership with key appointments in strategic roles
Fri, 1st Dec 2023

The Berlin-based enterprise Hygraph has unveiled two strategic appointments as it sees through its promising vision of the 'next generation' headless Content Management System (CMS) with content federation. Dr Mario Lenz is stepping into the Chief Product Officer (CPO) role, and Edan Gottlib is taking the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) position.

Hygraph's content platform enables content creators to rapidly build and deliver tomorrow's connected digital experiences at scale. As the next generation of CMS, Hygraph powers a many-to-many relationship between different content sources and devices. Hygraph's modern API approach allows organisations to innovate faster and at lower cost, whether it's building content-rich applications, managing large product catalogues, or using internal knowledge management systems.

The fresh appointments come as part of Hygraph's focus on bolstering its innovative CMS platform as it continues to evolve and diversify to accommodate the future of content management.

The newly appointed CPO, Dr Lenz, brings to Hygraph his significant exposure from the technology domain, counting on his former roles as SVP of Product Management at Market Logic Software and CPO at Quentic.

In his new position at the helm of Hygraph's product strategy, Lenz will focus on ensuring that the platform responds efficaciously to businesses' fast-paced digital content requirements. Here, Hygraph aims to fuel a many-to-many relationship between content sources and devices.

Gottlib, the new CRO, circles back to Hygraph armed with over two decades of experience leading revenue teams for several private and public companies, most recently as SVP of Sales at Cloudinary.

Gottlib will be responsible for transforming Hygraph's revenue landscape, using its expansive customer base that numbers more than 400 organisations. In his role, Gottlib will utilise his extensive expertise to steer market dynamics and create strategic partnerships to ensure Hygraph meets its financial goals.

Michael Lukaszczyk, CEO and Co-Founder of Hygraph, welcomed Dr Lenz and Gottlib, saying: "We look forward to welcoming Mario and Edan to the team. Their knowledge and experience will be invaluable as we continue to expand what is possible for a headless CMS, allowing organisations to adapt to the new reality where content and data no longer reside in one source."

Dr. Mario Lenz expressed his excitement: "I'm thrilled by the huge opportunity to build the next leader in the CMS space. Most of all, I'm looking forward to working with empowered teams across the globe and building a world-class product organisation here at Hygraph."

Gottlib echoed similar sentiments: "I'm excited to join the Hygraph team and lead our global revenue growth. This is an exciting moment to be part of the company, as there is a great market demand for our expanding product portfolio and capabilities."

"Given the pace of content velocity, organisations need to be able to share and update content quickly and efficiently across multiple channels. Hygraph is uniquely positioned to capitalise on this opportunity."
