Fortinet has enhanced its FortiPartner Programme, adding new certification and re-aligned partner levels.

The cyber security vendor says the new certifications will enable partners to increase expertise, extend service offerings and expand into new areas of the security market to meet evolving market requirements.

Genevieve White, Fortinet Australia channel sales director, says the programme is designed with channel partners in mind, to educate and validate skills as well as build a community where information can be shared amongst a like-minded peer group.

"Today's cybersecurity scene is transforming rapidly, increasing the pressures on partners and technology professionals to understand quite complex concepts and, furthermore, how it integrates into existing infrastructure," White says.

The new programme includes an eight level certification programme across Fortinet's full scope of integrated solutions and includes self-paced, instructor-led and practical courses.

The new NSE programme includes new content not covered in the FCNSA and FCNSP certifications and will eventually replace the existing certifications.

Anne Bourgeois, Fortinet international channel director, says trends for mobility, agile infrastructures and cloud set alongside the evolution in advanced cyber threats, means organisations increasing demand high-performance, integrated security solutions and experienced partner support.

"Our new programme will support our resellers to increase expertise and leverage our end-to-end network security solutions to better align their services with the needs of these customers, and ultimately boost value.

Meanwhile the company has also redefined its partner levels to provide a status partners can leverage globally.

Platinum partners will be proven experts who have demonstrated consistently high revenue and ability to deliver the full range of Fortinet security solutions.

Gold denotes proven ability in selling the full range of Fortinet solutions on a large number of projects, while silver partners deliver 'superior' security soltuiosn to small and medium customers and possess a working knowledge of Fortinet's small-to-mid-range multi-threat security solutions.

Authorised partners are the first level required to be part of the channel network.
