ExtraHop has announced the appointment of Tanya Hovagimian as the company's first Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) channel manager.

Based in Sydney, Hovagimian will be responsible for managing all aspects of ExtraHop's channel and managed security service provider business, including sales and solutions strategies, as well as market development.

She is also tasked with overseeing and driving all alliance, reseller, technology and partnership initiatives as ExtraHop continues to ramp up its engagement with the ANZ channel.

Hovagimian joins ExtraHop with 15 years experience in the IT industry and previously worked at Sophos for four years most recently as major account executive.

Prior to this, she worked in account management roles at The Missing Link and at Avnet Technology Solutions, where she held senior channel account and development management roles.

Hovagimian commenced her IT industry career working for Lenovo and Dell.

Hovagimian says, "It's exciting to be joining a fast-growing company with a major market opportunity that is also absolutely committed to scaling high quality partnerships to grow and enhance its customers' cybersecurity."

She continues, "There is a great opportunity for ExtraHop as we see visibility and reporting become a key pillar within the industry. I'm looking forward to working with NEXTGEN in Australia and Chillisoft in New Zealand to help partners continue their journey with ExtraHop.

ExtraHop has also announced the appointment of Alexander Burmeister as ANZ sales engineer based in Sydney.

Burmeister was previously senior sales engineer for Australia and New Zealand at Barracuda Networks, where he was responsible for providing technical support to the organisation's regional sales team and also assisted customers with proof-of-concept assessments.

Burmeister commenced his IT career in 2000, when he provided technical support to several independent schools in Sydney and was subsequently appointed a systems administrator with Nutrimetics before joining Barracuda Networks in 2014 in an inside sales role.

ExtraHop ANZ regional sales manager Glen Maloney says, “We've had a great year of continuing to build momentum for ExtraHop implementations across Australia and New Zealand and are thrilled to have enabled our customers to move beyond legacy security solutions and remain competitive in their various target market segments."

Maloney says, “Both Tanya and Alexander come to ExtraHop with great experience and relationships within the channel, and I know the partner community will embrace them both with open arms.

ExtraHop offers a dynamic cyber defence platform, Reveal(x) 360, to help organisations detect and respond to advanced threats before they compromise the business.

The company applies cloud-scale AI to petabytes of traffic per day, performing line-rate decryption and behavioural analysis across all infrastructure, workloads and data-in-flight.

With improved visibility via ExtraHop, enterprises can detect malicious behaviour, hunt advanced threats and forensically investigate any incident, the company states.
