Ethan named Arctic Wolf APAC Rising Star Partner for 2025
Ethan has been awarded the title of Arctic Wolf APAC Rising Star Partner of the Year for 2025.
The distinction is in recognition of the company's contributions in cybersecurity, service delivery and client outcomes throughout the Asia-Pacific region. According to Arctic Wolf, the award highlights exceptional leadership and commitment in helping organisations achieve improved security.
Awards recognition
The Arctic Wolf Partner of the Year Awards, now in their eighth year, are presented to partners displaying standout performance across security strategy, executive collaboration, revenue achievements and service standards. Arctic Wolf states that these accolades are designed to recognise top-performing members of its partner community who drive security progress across a broad range of sectors.
"This year's award winners represent the very best of the Arctic Wolf partner community," said Will Briggs, Senior Vice President, Global Channels, Arctic Wolf. "Each of these organisations has demonstrated exceptional commitment to our shared mission to end cyber risk, helping customers navigate an increasingly complex threat landscape with confidence and resilience. We're proud to recognise their achievements and celebrate the critical role they play in driving meaningful security outcomes."
Arctic Wolf has indicated that, globally, over 10,000 organisations rely on the Arctic Wolf Aurora Platform. The platform, built on an open-XDR architecture and utilising Alpha AITM technologies, is designed to enable organisations to manage the continuously increasing volume and complexity of security threats. The company states that each week, the platform processes over eight trillion security events, consolidating these into an average of one actionable alert per customer per day in order to simplify security operations.
Service delivery and security approach
Speaking on the award, Tony Geagea, Ethan's Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, said, "There's a reason why Australian law firms choose to work with us. We're more than just a security provider—we're AI, we're managed services, we're cloud, telco, and IT. To get security right, you need to have a holistic understanding of the environment, and that's our speciality."
Ethan was established in 2002 and has since diversified its business operations across several areas. In 2017, the company partnered with the David Liddiard Group to launch Ethan Indigenous, which is now recognised as a rapidly expanding ICT provider for Indigenous Australians. More recently, Ethan introduced the Ethan Store, offering business clients corporate rates for technology, security, and mobile services.
Regional projects and continued expansion
Recent years have seen Ethan actively support the growth of technology beyond metropolitan centres. In 2024, the North Queensland Simulation Park (NQ Spark) collaborated with Ethan on the development of a scalable, sovereign-based supercomputer platform intended to support government-led projects. The initiative included the establishment of a multi-million AUD platform facilitating simulation for a range of sectors, including science, health, emergency response, defence, and research.
Ethan Global executive Antony Flutey commented that NQ Spark illustrates the company's intention to assist the development of the high-tech industry in North Queensland, noting a AUD $32.3 million federal government grant to develop the six-hectare site in Townsville. NQ Spark is on schedule to complete its initial construction phase this year.
Recognition from peers
Alongside the Arctic Wolf award, Ethan received accolades from Dell in 2024, being named Cloud Service Provider of the Year for Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ), as well as being awarded Cloud Service Provider Top Performer FY24 for A/NZ in the company's Global Alliances and Cloud Service Provider Awards.
"We're building more than just cloud, we're building an AI readiness platform, with a major announcement coming. Stay tuned," Tony Geagea, Ethan Founder and Executive Director, stated, on these developments.
Community investment
Ethan Indigenous, a key part of the company's broader activities, continues to provide support and opportunity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. This commitment includes sponsorship of an indigenous women's cricket team and initiatives to increase educational and employment opportunities in the technology sector.
