ECOVACS launches DEEBOT X12S OmniCyclone robot vacuum

ECOVACS has launched the DEEBOT X12S OmniCyclone robotic vacuum and mop in Australia and New Zealand as the latest flagship in its DEEBOT range.
The device will sell for a recommended retail price of AUD $2,999 in Australia. It combines stronger suction, an updated roller mopping system and more automated maintenance features, targeting households dealing with pet hair, stains and carpet dust.
The launch adds a new premium model to the robotic floorcare market, where manufacturers are trying to differentiate products through deeper cleaning claims, improved navigation and less user intervention. ECOVACS is centring this release on suction strength and a revised version of its OZMO roller washing system.
The DEEBOT X12S OmniCyclone delivers 27,000Pa suction and 53 air watts of suction power, according to ECOVACS. It also includes what the company calls an Anti-mite Chamber for carpets and crevices, alongside ZeroTangle 4.0 to limit hair wrapping around brushes and TruEdge 3.0 to improve cleaning along skirting boards and corners.
Cleaning focus
A key part of the product is OZMO ROLLER 3.0, which uses a 27cm mop roller. ECOVACS says the roller is 50% longer than the previous generation and delivers double the cleaning efficiency in mop-only mode.
The system applies 4000Pa of downward pressure and scrubs at 220 revolutions per minute to remove dried-on dirt, according to the company. It also includes Pressurised Self-washing, which rinses the roller during cleaning, and FocusJet Stain Pre-dissolving Technology, designed to loosen stubborn spills before the roller passes over them.
For carpeted areas, the mop roller lifts by 15mm and a cover descends to prevent wet contact with carpet fibres. This is intended to keep carpets dry while the machine moves between hard floors and carpet.
The model is also designed for larger homes through a feature called PowerBoost Charging Plus. ECOVACS says the system can charge the battery by 13% in three minutes.
Market claims
ECOVACS says its roller-equipped models have reached more than 2.8 million cumulative global shipments since their international introduction in 2024, based on internal company data. The latest model is positioned as an extension of that product line rather than a new category entry.
For carpet cleaning, the X12S OmniCyclone uses a downward-pressure suction cavity, a thin guide wheel assembly and brush strips that are 130% thicker than the previous generation to agitate fibres and remove embedded debris, according to ECOVACS. The company cited SGS testing that found an average dust mite removal rate of 95.45% on Wilton carpet under specific operating conditions.
The model also expands ECOVACS' use of onboard software for route planning and user interaction. AGENT YIKO 3.0 is described as a voice-controlled assistant that learns room layouts, household routines and user preferences to adjust cleaning schedules and strategies. AIVI 3D 4.0 is intended to adjust routes in real time and avoid obstacles including pets and pet waste.
Automation push
Beyond floor cleaning, ECOVACS has put added emphasis on reducing maintenance through its OMNI Station. The dock uses a 32-nozzle direct pump system with hot water to wash the mop roller, while a dual-layer scraping mechanism and rapid-drain structure are designed to reduce contamination during cleaning.
The station also automates other maintenance tasks. ECOVACS says it includes Dirty Water Box Auto Cleaning, scheduled heating for the dirty water tank, PureCyclone 2.0 auto-emptying for dust disposal, a scraper ring, a quick-empty button and an air-path drying system.
Karen Powell, Regional Director of Australia and New Zealand at ECOVACS, said the new model builds on the company's previous work in roller washing systems.
