Denodo reports customer and revenue wins for 2019

Denodo, the data virtualisation provider, has experienced worldwide growth in 2019 thanks to strong year-end momentum and quality customer interactions.
According to a statement from the company, Denodo achieved a 50% increase year over year revenue in 2019 and revenue in the APAC region grew 275%, making up more than 10% of the company’s total revenue.
The company also reported a 52% increase in customer growth from the previous year. A significant part of this was subscription growth with new customer acquisition, aided by Amazon, Azure and Google Marketplaces, as well as expansion among existing global customers.
New customers from a variety of industries and countries joined the company, including larger brands such as PetSmart, University of Rochester Medical Center, UBS, The Bank of New York Mellon, and Walmart de Mexico.
Throughout the time, Denodo expanded its employee headcount 30% to support worldwide growth and opened offices in China, Mexico, and Canada. There are now 19 offices around the world.
Also aiding growth was the company’s partner relationships. There was a 56% increase in new partner agreements signed and significant expansion of current partnerships, bringing a 192% increase in revenue from this important partner channel.
On the product and solutions side, Denodo rolled out various new updates and offerings during the year. Advanced capabilities were added to the Denodo Platform, with the focus on enabling companies to better achieve data science, cloud migration, and logical data lake projects.
Denodo 7 gained advances across performance, cloud, and data catalog capabilities to accelerate digital transformation projects. In 2019, Denodo was recognised with a few notable accolades.
For one, the company was noted in the Gartner Peer Insights Voice of the Customer: Data Integration Tools as the only data integration product that was recommended by 100% of the reviewers.
With an overall rating of 4.5 out of 5, Denodo received the second highest ranking of the fifteen eligible vendors for Evaluation and Contracting. In addition, Denodo was named, for the second consecutive year, as a Challenger in the 2019 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Data Integration Tools.
The company was also named the best data virtualisation solution in Database Trends and Applications 2019 Readers Choice Awards 2019.
