Dematic to reveal latest warehouse automation at CeMAT Australia

Dematic, a prominent global provider of supply chain and warehouse automation technologies, is set to exhibit its broad array of advanced solutions at CeMAT Australia in Melbourne. The event will take place from 23-25 July and will see Dematic focusing on technologies designed to maximise productivity, storage, and throughput capacity while ensuring agility and accuracy in operations.

David Rubie, the Sales Director for Integrated Systems and Mobile Automation in ANZ at Dematic, stated, "With supply chain and warehousing challenges around labour, land availability and increasing customer service levels, Dematic will be focusing on the latest technologies that maximise productivity, storage and throughput capacity, speed and accuracy, while providing flexibility and agility."

Attendees visiting the Dematic stand, which is strategically located at the entrance of the exhibition, will have the opportunity to explore the Dematic Virtual Hub, an interactive 3D warehouse visualisation tool. This technology enables visitors to navigate virtual warehouse environments, observe Dematic’s automation solutions in action, and understand how companies globally are leveraging these technologies to optimise their supply chains. The Virtual Hub will include guided tours conducted by Dematic experts, scheduled twice daily throughout the event.

The exhibit will also feature an Eaches Picking showcase, displaying a full range of leading goods-to-person (GTP) solutions. This includes the Dematic Multishuttle-based and Autostore GTP systems. For the first time in Australia, Dematic will introduce Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) for picking purposes. Adding to the line-up, there will be a demonstration of Colby Storage Solutions by Dematic, which includes the Australian-made ColbyRACK pallet racking known for its safety, strength, and cost-effectiveness.

Lee Koutsos, Director of Real Time Logistics and Colby Storage Solutions ANZ at Dematic, commented, "Excitingly, 2024 sees the first appearance of Colby Storage Solutions by Dematic at CeMAT. Visitors will be able to see up-close the design features that make Australian-made ColbyRACK pallet racking the best in the industry for safety, strength, and lowest overall lifetime costs."

The Dematic exhibit will further include a showcase of Mobile Automation and Real Time Logistics solutions. Visitors can experience a Vision Picking demonstration, along with Voice and RF Handheld devices, and a new “follow-me” AMR solution in action. Additionally, Dematic's latest freezer-rated Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV), which includes enhanced safety features to comply with new Australian AGV standards, will be on display.

Moreover, Pas Tomasiello, Vice President Sales for APAC at Dematic, is scheduled to address the Knowledge Theatre on day three of CeMAT. His session will cover the complexities of order fulfilment automation and is set for 25th July at 10:15 am.

The CeMAT Australia event will be held at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre from July 23-25. Visitors can experience the Virtual Hub and participate in guided tours daily at 11 am and 2:30 pm at Dematic's stand.
