Deloitte & Tenable announce expansion of cyber security services
Deloitte has announced an expansion of its cyber solutions portfolio by incorporating Tenable's cutting-edge technologies. The partnership aims to provide enhanced vulnerability management, cloud security, and operational technology (OT) security solutions for Internet of Things (IoT) and OT cyber risk management. By leveraging the capabilities of Tenable's platforms, Deloitte and Tenable aim to deliver proactive security measures to their shared customers.
The newly integrated solutions include the Tenable One Exposure Management Platform, Tenable Cloud Security, and Tenable OT Security. The alliance allows organisations to consolidate their cyber risk data, simplifying risk assessments and enabling the implementation of preventive security measures. This unification provides a comprehensive visibility into both on-premise and cloud-based environments, helping organisations prioritise their actions based on the likelihood of cyberattacks.
Jeff Brooks, Senior Vice President of Global Channels and Business Development at Tenable, stated, "As a platform-first company, we strive to offer cybersecurity solutions that unite data, simplify risk assessment, and take the guesswork out of risk reduction by putting critical context and actionable insights front and centre. By collaborating with Deloitte, organisations will be able to use preventive security measures to better understand their cyber risks and help resolve issues before they can be exploited by threat actors."
Will Burns, Deloitte's US Cyber Detect & Respond Adversary Pursuit Leader and a Managing Director at Deloitte & Touche LLP, echoed this sentiment. "We are constantly working to enrich our cyber ecosystem for the benefit of our clients. The addition of the Tenable One platform is a continued demonstration of that commitment. We look forward to Deloitte and Tenable's shared clients finding new ways to understand their exposure data and to quickly mitigate risks impacting their specific environments," he commented.
The Tenable One platform is designed to centralise an organisation's exposure data sources into a single view. It offers comprehensive visibility, allowing organisations to gain a unified perspective of all assets and associated vulnerabilities, exposures, misconfigurations, and excessive entitlements. This continuous assessment of environments provides a more thorough understanding of potential cyber risks.
The platform also includes predictive and prioritisation capabilities. By drawing upon over 211,000 Nessus plugins, organisations can anticipate the consequences of a cyberattack and understand the relationships between assets, exposures, privileges, and threats across an attack path. This enables them to better predict and prioritise their security measures.
Effective communication of cyber risks to stakeholders is another vital feature of Tenable One. The platform allows organisations to answer critical questions such as "Where are we exposed?" and "How secure are we?". By providing a centralised and business-aligned view of cyber risk, Tenable One enables organisations to communicate their security posture accurately and set clear key performance indicators (KPIs). This, in turn, helps in benchmarking progress against external peers over time.
Tenable is renowned for its exposure management solutions and has a significant presence globally. The company, known for creating Nessus, has extended its expertise to develop the first platform capable of seeing and securing any digital asset on any computing platform. Tenable serves approximately 44,000 organisations worldwide, including nearly 65 percent of the Fortune 500 and around 50 percent of the Global 2000, as well as numerous government agencies.
