Dell partners with Intel to boost AI in telecom sector

Dell Technologies has announced a series of advancements and partnerships to enhance AI innovation across telecommunications and enterprise sectors.

The company is collaborating with Intel to expand its Dell AI for Telecom program. Through this partnership, Dell aims to empower Communication Service Providers (CSPs) by introducing new solutions that focus on optimising network operations and enhancing enterprise edge use cases. These solutions are intended to drive efficiency, reliability, and cost savings for CSPs. "By leveraging AI, CSPs can unlock new revenue streams and maximise the return on their network investments through strategic collaborations with enterprises," an official statement noted.

Building upon its efforts in edge computing, Dell Technologies has also announced enhancements to its Dell NativeEdge software. The software now provides secure, high-availability clustering capability for NativeEdge Endpoints. This development aims to boost edge workload resiliency across various environments, from retail stores to factory floors. Dell's efforts to simplify operations and automate AI deployments at scale are central to these innovations.

To further support AI advancements in enterprises, Dell Technologies has detailed enhancements to its AI infrastructure. New Dell PowerEdge XE servers, both liquid and air-cooled, and enhancements to the Dell Data Lakehouse are set to deliver advanced compute capacity at scale, simplifying data access for AI applications. Among the new additions is a Dell PowerEdge XE server specifically designed to support the NVIDIA GB200 Grace Blackwell NVL4 Superchip, accommodating up to 144 GPUs in a 50OU standard rack. Dell Professional Services continue to aid organisations in achieving AI goals swiftly by reducing complexity, particularly in sustainability, data management, and networking.

The company is also aiming to advance AI innovation and fortify cybersecurity strategies for Microsoft customers. Dell APEX File Storage for Microsoft Azure is now positioned to deliver high-performance AI workloads, scalability, and data services with a new managed option that simplifies management and deployment. In parallel, Dell's services, tailored to Microsoft environments, are set to accelerate AI innovation and boost productivity for customers. For data protection, Dell APEX Protection Services for Microsoft Azure offers AI-powered, Dell-managed enterprise-class data protection and cyber resilience. The service aims to improve resource usage by employing advanced data reduction capabilities. Additionally, Dell advisory and managed services continue to assist Dell and Microsoft customers in strengthening their cybersecurity approaches.
