Connector Systems tackles storage market with new deal
Fri, 12th Sep 2014
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Connector Systems is branching out into storage, signing a deal with Imation to deliver the company's Nexsan portfolio of hybrid storage appliances across New Zealand and Australia.

Mark Dasent, Connector Systems ANZ general manager, says the distributor's priority is to provide new and unique opportunities for customers, while giving them a 'great experience'.

“For this reason, we're excited to work with Imation – a well-known company with a superior track record and tremendous momentum in the data storage industry.

“Their suite of versatile, efficient storage solutions will enhance our portfolio and add great value to our customers.”

The vendor is Connector' Systems first pure storage play.

Says Dasent: “We also do Exagrid and Unitrends, but both are more for backup.”

Nexsan's portfolio features solid-state optimised unified hybrid storage systems, secure automated archive solutions and high-density enterprise storage arrays.

The company says its Nexsan NST range scales to meet mid-sized organisation application and storage needs with unified NAS and SAN access capabilities in a single solution.

Meanwhile the Nexsan E-Series is a family of high-density, high-performance and highly reliable storage solutions that can be directly attached or networked to workstations and servers, Nexsan says.

The portfolio also includes the Nexsan Assureon set of secure storage solutions which offload and deduplicate data from primary storage that is infrequently used or has aged by policy.

Rick Ferguson, Imation Asia Pacific vice president of sales, says the company is 'excited' to work with Connector Systems and to use its 'ultra-reliable, enterprise-class storage to help more end users unlock more value across a wide range of applications'.

The deal is not exclusive.
