FYI, this story is more than a year old

Commvault is bulking up its ANZ team, appointing former VMware staffer Andrew Goodlace as a new sales director.

Goodlace, whose previous roles include VMware Australia senior director of enterprise and commercial business working with major customers and the channel, will lead commercial sales across Queensland, Northern Territory, New South Wales and ACT to build the customer base through CommVault's partner channel.

Dan Kieran, Commvault vice president and Australia and New Zealand managing director, says the addition of Goodlace comes as Commvault rapidly expands and gears up to support a growing customer base across Australia and New Zealand as businesses rethink their data strategies.

“We are entering a digital age where the abundance of information can be a problem – or an opportunity,” Kieran says.

“Enterprises need to be prepared to deal with the petabytes of information that will be flowing in.

“Data remains at the very core of today's economy and acts as the drumbeat of any info-driven business.

Says Goodlace: “As Commvault continues to bring unique and innovative solutions to its integrated portfolio of services, my priority will be growing our business by deepening our relationships with new and existing customers through our valued and established partner ecosystem.

Prior to his time at VMware, Goodlace was the sales director and managing director of Sun Microsystems and founding director and managing director of Iocore Asia Pacific Group.

Kieran says he brings a wealth of multi-national experience in high growth sales, general management and business leadership to the role.
