Claroty appoints John Ryan to lead global partner push

Claroty has appointed John Ryan as Vice President of Worldwide Partner Ecosystem, putting him in charge of the company's global partner programme.

Ryan joins the cyber-physical systems security company after holding senior channel and alliance roles across the cybersecurity sector. His previous employers include Radiant Logic, Orca Security, Illumio, Guardicore, Rapid7 and ForeScout Technologies.

At Claroty, he will lead the xCelerate Partner Program, which covers resellers, VARs, managed security service providers, technology alliances and distributors. The role is focused on expanding and strengthening the company's global channel ecosystem.

The appointment comes as cybersecurity vendors continue to rely on partner networks to reach customers across regions and industries. Channel leaders have become increasingly central to that model as vendors seek broader distribution and closer ties with service providers and systems integrators.

Before joining Claroty, Ryan was Vice President of EMEA and Worldwide Channel Sales at Radiant Logic, where he built a team and helped deliver record business growth.

Earlier in his career, he served as SVP of Worldwide Channels and Tech Alliances at Orca Security; VP of Worldwide Channel, GSI and MSP/MSSP Sales at Illumio; AVP of Channels, SIs and Alliances at Guardicore; and Senior Director of Global Alliances & Channel Sales at Mendix. He also held leadership positions at Rapid7 and ForeScout Technologies.

Channel focus

Ryan's remit includes overseeing Claroty's go-to-market efforts through partners, with a focus on extending market reach and supporting customers using its products to protect cyber-physical systems.

Claroty has been building a partner structure aimed at indirect sales and support. Its xCelerate programme is designed to provide training and enablement while helping partners sell and support the company's platform.

Cyber-physical systems security has become a growing priority for industrial operators and other organisations that manage operational technology and connected environments. Suppliers in this segment often depend on specialist partners to integrate products into broader security and infrastructure projects.

Ryan joins at a time when security vendors are competing for channel mindshare in a crowded market. For many suppliers, partner programmes now play a larger role not only in sales execution but also in deployment, managed services and customer retention.

Market demand

Claroty said the xCelerate Partner Program is intended to support the long-term growth of its channel ecosystem. Ryan's leadership, it added, will help partners support organisations seeking to establish cyber-physical systems protection programmes.

That emphasis reflects wider industry demand for security offerings covering operational technology, industrial environments and other connected physical systems. Customers in these sectors often buy through specialist resellers and service providers with experience in regulated and complex infrastructure settings.
