Claroty appoints Jason Pearce as Field CTO for APJ

Tue, 2nd Jul 2024

Claroty has appointed Jason Pearce as the Field Chief Technology Officer for Asia Pacific and Japan. The introduction of this new position highlights Claroty's notable growth in the region and its ongoing commitment to assisting critical infrastructure organisations in securing their increasingly complex environments.

In his new role, Pearce will support customers in understanding operational risks associated with Extended Internet of Things (XIoT) and cyber-physical systems.

He will be responsible for safeguarding critical industrial security assets and providing thought leadership and security advisories. Pearce aims to ensure that customers have appropriate cyber resilience programs in place to manage their growing attack surfaces. He will report directly to Eddie Stefanescu, Claroty's General Manager in the Asia Pacific and Japan region.

Pearce's professional background includes his tenure as the Director of Customer Success in Asia Pacific for Mimecast, where he focused on driving customer satisfaction and ensuring customers achieved their desired outcomes with Mimecast's cybersecurity solutions.

Prior to Mimecast, Pearce held the position of Chief Technology Officer for Asia Pacific, Japan, Middle East, and Africa at enterprise software provider IFS, where he led the presales team and championed emerging technologies to address customers' business challenges.

His career also includes senior leadership roles in security consulting and pre-sales at companies such as ClickSoftware (Salesforce), MailGuard, EMC, RSA, Oracle, Cisco Systems, and Hewlett Packard.

"As one of the world’s leading cybersecurity companies, I am thrilled to be joining the Claroty team. Their track record of innovation in the industrial cybersecurity space is an exciting prospect that presents a great opportunity to work across a diverse and high-profile customer base. In this new role, my goal is to provide customers with best practice advice on digital transformation and exposure management, while arming them with the best cyber security tools that can be easily adopted and translated into strong return on investments," stated Pearce.

This appointment comes on the heels of a strong period of growth for Claroty.

The company recently surpassed USD $100 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) and secured an additional USD $100 million in strategic growth financing. This funding positions Claroty as the most well-funded cybersecurity company within the industrial (Operational Technology), healthcare (Internet of Medical Things), and enterprise IoT sectors, bringing its total funding to USD $735 million.

Claroty now collaborates with 20% of the Fortune 100 companies and has received several industry accolades.

These honours include winning Best in KLAS for Healthcare IoT Security for four consecutive years, being named in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 for three consecutive years, inclusion in the Forbes Cloud 100 for two consecutive years, and being listed in the inaugural Fortune Cyber 60.
