Thu, 21st Aug 2025

Claroty has announced the appointment of Gil Gur Arie as Chief Product Officer to lead product strategy and development for its cyber-physical systems protection platform.

Gur Arie joins Claroty following his tenure as Global Chief Data and Analytics Officer at Ford, where he managed large teams across data and artificial intelligence, and was responsible for modernising the auto manufacturer's operations through digital transformation. His experience spans more than two decades in data, analytics and AI, including senior technology leadership roles in the Israel Defence Forces' Unit 8200, and a record of receiving the Israel Presidential Defence Award in 2018.

Leadership appointment

As Chief Product Officer, Gur Arie will lead the strategy and execution of Claroty's product and research development, working across product, data, and research teams to deliver at scale. His appointment is part of Claroty's renewed focus on advancing the protection of Australia's critical infrastructure and other mission-critical assets, with a specific emphasis on leveraging artificial intelligence technology to anticipate and respond to evolving cyber threats.

The company stated that Gur Arie has extensive experience with hundreds of product implementations and value creation over billions of dollars, positioning him to guide Claroty's platform through its next phase of development.

Comments from leadership

"Gil brings to Claroty a level of expertise in data and AI that is unmatched and perfectly built for our mission to secure the cyber-physical world," said Yaniv Vardi, CEO of Claroty. "His understanding of the industrial landscape, combined with his deep-rooted knowledge of cyber threats, will serve Claroty tremendously in how we develop our solutions and continue to lead the market in CPS protection."

Gur Arie highlighted the need for advanced protective technologies as critical systems become more frequent targets for cyber attackers. He stated his belief that AI and large-scale data analytics will play central roles in future security efforts.

"As adversaries are increasingly targeting high-value CPS assets, it's critical that we advance our protective technologies to outpace attackers," said Gur Arie. "I believe that harnessing the power of massive amounts of data and leveraging AI to build impenetrable defences is the future for securing the technology that underpins our daily lives. I'm thrilled to join Claroty in this important undertaking, working with a world-class team of passionate innovators."

Gur Arie holds a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the Israel Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration from Tel Aviv University.

Focus on the future

Claroty underlined that with Gur Arie's leadership, the company will place greater emphasis on applying data-driven insights and artificial intelligence to its suite of solutions, aiming to help organisations globally reduce risk associated with cyber-physical systems. This move comes amid heightened awareness of cybersecurity risks to critical infrastructure and a growing demand for platforms that can provide asset visibility and threat detection across multiple environments.

Claroty provides a platform for exposure management, network protection, secure access, and threat detection for organisations in industries with mission-critical operational environments. The company reports deployments across hundreds of organisations at thousands of sites worldwide, supporting customers in managing both cloud and on-premise security needs.

Claroty maintains a presence in New York, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America, with a commitment to helping organisations mitigate risks through advances in threat research and technology alliances.
