Cisco resellers to deliver Commvault solutions in new deal
Commvault has joined Cisco's Solutions Program in a deal which will enable Cisco resellers to sell and deliver Commvault's data management solution.
The vendors say Commvault software, which provides support for public cloud providers, hypervisors, big data support and database protection, on Cisco hardware can be leveraged to accelerate customers' adoption of, and transition to, hybrid cloud strategies across both business-critical and secondary application use cases.
Commvault says the expanded partnership 'will make it seamless for customers to adopt the best of breed solutions in a unified stack that enhances the already strong value proposition of the Cisco data center portfolio'.
"Organisations of all sizes are facing increasing data management challenges and 93% in Asia Pacific have recognised the importance of data to their business," Commvault says, citing an IDC C-Suite report.
"To manage these challenges, customers require a robust, proven data protection solution that can flexibly and reliably manage data stored on-premses and in the cloud, offer automation and policy-based capabilities to scale seamlessly, while handling the influx of data.
Commvault's data platform solutions will be available on Cisco's global price list from next month.
The deal continues a long-standing partnership between the two vendors, who have been alliance partners for a number of years.
