Cisco executive Roger Biscay joins Qrypt's quantum-secure Board of Advisors
Qrypt, a quantum-secure encryption company, announced that Roger Biscay, the SVP, Corporate Treasurer and Head of Global Corporate Security at Cisco, will be joining Qrypt's Board of Advisors. Biscay has over 20 years of executive and senior leadership experience at Cisco, involving strategic and corporate financial activities and programmes.
Taking up various security and technology leadership roles at major companies, Biscay is yet another noteworthy figure investing his time and resources into quantum security. His appointment at Qrypt comes on the heels of the company's recent induction of three additional board members, namely Ken Dixon, CEO of Tillman FiberCo LLC; Christopher Moretti, Vice President of Global Technology and Cloud Transformation at Evernorth Health Services, a division of The Cigna Group and Steven Silberstein, the CEO at Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC).
Biscay's impressive career at Cisco includes managing capital markets, corporate finance, risk management, and technology architecture and standards, as well as leading Cisco's multibillion-dollar investment portfolio through two global financial crises in 2000 and 2008 and the 2020 global pandemic. Biscay also serves as Cisco's executive sponsor to several Fortune 100 companies.
In a statement about his new role, Biscay noted, "Throughout my career, I have served in diverse leadership roles on the boards of private and public companies and non-profit organisations, driving strategy, organisational planning, financial management, and compliance."
"Quantum is the next technology revolution and with this opportunity, comes risk. Global enterprises need to start preparing for the post-quantum world now, and I look forward to supporting this mission by joining Qrypt's Board of Advisors."
Qrypt has revolutionised quantum-secure encryption, exclusively partnering with some of the most renowned labs in the industry, such as Oak Ridge National Lab, Los Alamos National Lab and École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). This innovative encryption solution removes the key transmission process, a staple in traditional encryption methods, thereby ensuring enhanced data protection.
Kevin Chalker, CEO and Co-Founder of Qrypt expressed enthusiasm for the latest addition to the company's Board of Advisors, Roger's inclusion. Chalker commended Roger's notable leadership achievements and expertise in both technology and financial markets. He believes that Roger's background will enhance Qrypt's Board of Advisors by bringing invaluable insights from highly regulated industries. Chalker sees this addition as a step towards bolstering the company's mission to democratise quantum encryption.
Kevin Chalker said, "Roger's impressive leadership accomplishments and experience in both technology and financial markets will further strengthen Qrypt's Board of Advisors, bringing together leaders from highly regulated industries and supporting us on our mission to democratise quantum encryption."
Qrypt's quantum-secure encryption solution presents an efficient solution to the quantum threat by seamlessly merging quantum entropy hardware with cryptographic key generation software. When traditional encryption algorithms become obsolete, every byte of harvested data will be exposed. Qrypt eliminates "harvest now, decrypt later" (HNDL) risk and guarantees data privacy with its revolutionary peer-reviewed encryption technology.
