Wed, 15th May 2024

Certis Australia, a prominent integrated security provider, has announced the appointment of Darryl Prince as its new Senior Vice President of People and Transformation. With this role, Prince will lead crucial cultural and transformational initiatives at a significant phase in Certis' expansion within the Australian market.

Darryl Prince joins Certis, bringing a wealth of experience from a global career spanning several industries, including notable hospitality brands such as Accor, Sheraton, and the Four Seasons Hotel group. Most recently, Prince was instrumental at ISS Group, managing human resources for a diverse workforce of over 200,000 employees across Australia, Asia, and Europe. His history of implementing cultural and transformational strategies is set to play a pivotal role in Certis' future.

Expressing his confidence in Darryl Prince, Brett Pickens, Chief Executive of Certis Australia, shared, "I have had the privilege of working closely with Darryl in the past during our time together at ISS. Having experienced first-hand his ability to drive both people and shared value transformation, I am confident he will bring that same passion and energy to Certis Australia."

Prince's extensive expertise in human resources, learning, and development and his high-level stakeholder engagement skills align with Certis' forward-thinking ethos. His role will be critical during the organisational shifts that Certis anticipates as it aims to become the leading security provider in Australia.

Commenting on his new role, Darryl Prince conveyed his enthusiasm, "With roots in hospitality, I take a service-led approach when addressing HR transformation. As the Certis team comprises mainly frontline workers in numerous locations across Australia, my primary focus will be on fostering stronger collaboration across teams to drive synergies under one unified community."

Prince highlighted Certis' unique position in the market, saying, "Certis is a great organisation and I have seen from the outside how it invests in its people, upskilling the workforce, and equipping them with the right skills and technology to set itself apart from other providers in the market."

"People are the catalyst for change, and when a business is truly prepared to evolve, our people culture will need to shift as well. I look forward to collaborating with Certis leadership and the wider team to ensure we lay a foundation that sets us up for success."

The Australian security industry is undergoing a significant transformation, moving away from transactional and traditional command-and-control models. Certis is poised as a frontrunner in this change, particularly with its emphasis on a technology-enabled workforce. The appointment of Darryl Prince, along with other strategic moves led by Chief Executive Brett Pickens, marks an accelerated phase of business transformation for Certis' Australian operations.

The strategic investment in human capital and technology under Prince's leadership is expected to amplify growth and innovation and strengthen the service culture across the organisation, as Certis aims to enhance its market position.

The integration of advanced technology within its security operations, alongside a robust emphasis on people and culture, differentiates Certis from its competitors. As the company embarks on this new chapter, the leadership is confident that Darryl Prince will contribute significantly to making the organisation safer, smarter, and better.
