Celonis appoints Pascal Coubard as VP for Australia & New Zealand
Celonis has appointed Pascal Coubard as the Vice-President for Australia and New Zealand, marking its first high-level leadership role in the APAC region. Coubard's role involves supporting existing customers and expanding the company's footprint in Australia and New Zealand.
The company already serves prominent customers in the region, including the global food and beverage giant Lion, the world's largest kiwi fruit marketer, Zespri, an Australian healthcare organisation, and a major telecommunications company.
With over 25 years of experience in the global IT industry, Coubard has a robust background in go-to-market leadership. Prior to joining Celonis, he led Teradata's cloud sales across APAC and Japan, significantly contributing to the company's international sales and large-scale deals for nearly a decade. He has also managed enterprise sales teams at Oracle and Hyperion earlier in his career.
Philippe Mathieu, Senior Vice-President of EMEA and APAC for Celonis, commented on the significance of Coubard's appointment. "He is the right person to position Celonis for long-term success in ANZ and the wider APAC region. Pascal's breadth and depth of expertise will be invaluable to our current and future customers, helping them to achieve immediate cash impact, radically improve customer experience, and reduce carbon emissions," Mathieu said.
Based in Melbourne, Coubard expressed his enthusiasm for the new role, emphasising the substantial opportunities for businesses in the region to benefit from Celonis's pioneering process mining and process intelligence technology. "With a number of well-known companies already embracing the power of Celonis, it shows there is a significant opportunity for more businesses across Australia and New Zealand to leverage Celonis's technology to realise a future where processes don't just run but truly work for people, companies, and the planet," he stated.
Celonis has been increasing its presence in the APAC region, including offices in India, Japan, and South Korea. The company was recently recognised as a leader in Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Process Mining Platforms for the second consecutive year. Furthermore, the Everest Group Process Mining PEAK Matrix Assessment 2023 highlighted Celonis as holding the largest share of the process mining market in APAC.
Established in 2011, Celonis has assisted thousands of companies worldwide, including more than half of the top 500 largest companies, in optimising their business operations through its advanced process mining technology and AI. The company is headquartered in New York and Munich and has over 20 offices globally.
