CAST donates revenue portion to Clean Air Task Force for sustainability efforts
Fri, 1st Mar 2024

Last year's commitment by CAST to donate 10% of their Green Software Insights revenue to non-profit organisations working towards sustainability and human-caused global warming solutions has come to fruition. The company has now made its initial donation to the Clean Air Task Force.

Clean Air Task Force, a non-profit environmental group, works to mitigate the severe impacts of climate change by accelerating the global development and application of low-carbon energy and other climate-preserving technologies. Their approach combines research and analysis, public advocacy leadership, and private-sector collaborations. CAST is equally committed to raising funds to support this pressing endeavour.

Armond Cohen, the Executive Director of Clean Air Task Force, emphasised the significant challenge of transitioning our energy system to combat climate change, stressing the importance of collective effort. He expressed gratitude for CAST's donation, highlighting its role in supporting the organisation's mission to uncover crucial insights into the climate challenge and develop innovative solutions to address it effectively.

Armond Cohen commented, "Transforming our energy system to address climate change is a monumental challenge, and we need all hands on deck to do it. We are grateful for CAST's donation, which helps Clean Air Task Force progress its work to unmask critical insights into the nature of this challenge and advance the novel and effective solutions we need to address it."

In addition to facilitating numerous customers in optimising their data centres' greenhouse gas emissions and resource usage, CAST utilises Carbometrix's capabilities to measure and lessen its operational carbon footprint through every viable method, year on year. Carbometrix specialises in assessing the corporate carbon footprint and innovating benchmark and carbon performance monitoring solutions.

Vincent Delaroche, CEO and Founder of CAST, stated, "We are committed to making significant donations to address this most pressing need of our time, in addition to enabling our customers to do the same with our software intelligence product CAST Highlight."

"We use its rapid application portfolio analysis capabilities on our own tech stack to reduce our green impact while also leveraging Carbometrix to refine our operations, from shutting down office appliances to optimising travel."

"Although a singular company's contribution might be modest in the grand scheme of things, we are completely dedicated to doing our part, setting a precedent, and encouraging all our colleagues, partners, and customers to do the same," said Vincent Delaroche.

Furthermore, as a member of the Green Software Foundation, CAST has contributed research and spearheaded the development of the OMG standard. This measure evaluates how efficiently software utilises resources, Automated Source Code Resource Sustainability Measure.

As the software intelligence leader, CAST supplies software that comprehends multi-technology software systems and automatically gleans insights about their inner workings. Thousands of digital leaders globally use it to help them make smarter decisions and maintain and transform custom software with greater speed, managing the associated risks more effectively.
