Bureau opens first London showroom & new booth range
Sat, 30th May 2026 (Today)
Bureau has opened its first London showroom in Clerkenwell and launched its Signature Series 2.0 range, marking its first showroom in Europe.
The showroom opening and product launch are part of the company's wider regional expansion, as the workplace booth maker builds on growth in Australia and North America. The new range retains five booth sizes and adds 11 interior configurations for different office uses, including focused work, meetings and collaboration.
Bureau makes soundproof workplace booths for offices and other shared settings. Its customers include NASA, Amazon and PwC. It says it has more than 2,500 installations across key regions and also works with organisations including Google, Lego, the NHS and Deloitte.
The Clerkenwell site gives the business a base in one of London's main design districts as it expands its presence in the UK and Europe. Bureau is also pursuing an £11 million fundraise for 2026 as part of its broader growth plans.
Signature Series 2.0 offers a wider choice of internal layouts within the same core booth footprint. Customers can choose formats ranging from a standing set-up for short calls to more furnished spaces for longer meetings or individual work.
Product changes
The updated range has a stated acoustic performance of 30dB noise reduction. It also features a revised ventilation system that replaces a single high-output unit with four lower-power fans. Bureau says the change is designed to create balanced airflow, reduce operating noise and maintain ventilation if one fan stops working.
Lighting has also been reworked, with adjustable colour temperature from 3000K to 6000K and occupancy-based controls that switch on when a user enters and turn off when the booth is empty. Other changes include soft self-closing hinges, integrated power blocks, pre-wired interiors and fabric-wrapped acoustic panels.
The design now also includes a stepped door profile with dual compression seals, which Bureau says extends the acoustic path and creates two airtight barriers to limit sound leakage.
The business was formed from two separate teams, one founded in Australia in 2019 and the other in Canada in 2021. The two merged in 2024 after discovering they were addressing the same workplace problem. Bureau now has offices in Vancouver, Sydney and New York.
Growth plans
Bureau forecasts revenue will double to about £33 million by the end of 2026. The company recently announced a contract worth about £74 million with WeWork to act as manufacturing supplier for WeWork Go, which is intended to place pods in airports, convention centres and other public spaces on WeWork's booking platform.
The agreement supports Bureau's push beyond traditional office installations into a wider range of work and meeting environments. The London showroom gives the company a physical location to present its products to architects, designers, landlords and occupiers in a market where employers continue to rethink office layouts and staff attendance.
Bureau argues that enclosed booths can address some of the drawbacks of open-plan offices by giving workers access to private spaces without the cost and disruption of permanent building work. It says its units can be installed without building permits or structural construction, making them an option for companies that want to alter office space more quickly.
Tyson Gundersen, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Bureau, said: "As one of the world's leading global hubs, London serves as the ideal location for our new showroom and the debut of the Signature Series 2.0. This launch represents a significant milestone in Bureau's European expansion, providing a vital gateway to the region. It reflects our innovative spirit and agile capabilities, signaling the start of an ambitious new chapter for our business. With today's announcement, we reaffirm our dedication to pushing industry boundaries and delivering the most advanced soundproof booth to our clients."
