CHANNEL SUCCESS: NEC taps Baycom as its best kiwi UC partner
Tue, 29th May 2018
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Kiwi-based systems integrator BayCom has been recognised by NEC Australia as the company's Export Channel Partner of the Year for Unified Communications.

Given out at NEC Australia's Unified Communications Channel Partner of the Year Awards, the recognition follows the establishment of an official partner program for New Zealand in 2017, with BayCom coming out on top as the best UC provider in the NZ region.

According to NEC, the award recognises partner achievements in the marketplace and helps build trust with prospective customers.

It helps to demonstrate the credibility and proficiency of BayCom to the New Zealand market, leading the pack when it comes to NEC UC integrations in the region.

Export Channel Partner of the Year is a new award, serving to highlight NEC's commitment to its growing export market.

NEC Australia Director of Sales, Marketing and Solutions Andy Hurt says the awards - as a whole - demonstrate the company's commitment to the APAC region, as it is able to deliver UC through a comprehensive network of highly-skilled partners.

“NEC thrives on collaborative relationships with our channel partners in the APAC region, especially in this changing business environment,” Hurt says.

“Each of our partners contributes to our collective success and we thank them for their commitment and hard work.

NEC Australia announced its dedicated NZ partner program in March, with BayCom being tapped as one of three SI's to be initially included, formalising their status as official Advanced Resellers of NEC Unified Communications.

The program is designed to help selected NEC Unified Communications integrators to deliver a better experience for customers.

The completely new distribution model ensures customers are supported by local partners that have a direct relationship with NEC Australia and are qualified to meet customer demands.

At the time of the program's launch, Hurt said, “Our new partner model in New Zealand ensures that NZ businesses have the best telephony support and services available by opening a direct link between resellers, NEC and our knowledge centres in Japan and the United States.” “Establishing a direct relationship with local partners in New Zealand will help them improve responsiveness to customer needs while ensuring NEC maintains its lead position globally in unified communications.

BayCom is a 100% locally owned company that has been serving New Zealand businesses nationally for almost a decade.

It offers a complete range of unified communications capability, as well as IP Telephony, contact centres, mobility solutions, network services and more.

While a smaller SI, the company says it works hard to provide a capability that can match, and quite often surpass, the big operators.
