AWS to stream re:Invent 2025 keynotes live inside Fortnite
Amazon Web Services has announced that all keynote presentations at its upcoming re:Invent 2025 cloud conference will be streamed live inside the video game Fortnite. This move marks the first time the company's keynotes will be available within an interactive gaming environment, accessible through the custom-created "AWS re:Invent Keynote Racer" island in the game.
Gaming expansion
The dedicated Fortnite experience allows users to watch the live keynotes from a virtual lounge or while driving on a Las Vegas-themed racetrack. Multiple billboards display the keynotes throughout the track, offering players flexibility in how they engage with the content.
The Fortnite island was developed in partnership with EPAM, Blast.tv, and 404 Creative using the Unreal Editor for Fortnite. The collaboration aims to bridge the gap between gaming and enterprise technology audiences.

Technical delivery
The live stream within Fortnite uses AWS Media Services, a suite of cloud-based tools for managing digital content workflows. The services provide live and on-demand video streaming capabilities. Epic Games, the creator of Fortnite, has utilised AWS infrastructure since 2018 to support its global user base.
Developer resources
The virtual world includes content on how developers can use Amazon services across Luna, Amazon's game-streaming platform, the main Amazon.com retail channel, Amazon Ads, the Internet Game Database, and Twitch. Visitors to the lounge area inside the island can learn more about how AWS, EPAM, and other Amazon businesses support game development and community engagement.
Broader access
While the keynotes will be accessible inside Fortnite, streams will also be available via the conference website, YouTube, and Twitch, broadening the reach of this year's presentations.
"Epic Games broadly adopted AWS in 2018 and leverages AWS global infrastructure to bring Fortnite to hundreds of millions of players across the globe," said Dr. Werner Vogels, Chief Technology Officer, Amazon Web Services.
