Two professional women award stage with data streams and charts

AutoRek leaders honoured at Women in Tech & Data Awards

Mon, 9th Mar 2026

AutoRek reported that two senior staff members have been recognised at the Women in Tech & Data Awards run by WatersTechnology, with one award for marketing and another for work on gender equality and diversity.

Michelle Earp, VP Marketing, received Marketing Professional of the Year. Amelia Doyle, PMO Lead, received Gender Equality/Diversity Professional of the Year in the vendor category.

The awards focus on women working across technology, data, and financial services, highlighting professional achievement and contributions to industry culture and inclusion.

Earp's award related to AutoRek's marketing work during a period of international expansion. Her remit covers marketing strategy and execution across the business.

AutoRek said its marketing function went through a transformation programme, linking the work to its push into the US market and continued activity across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The company described the transformation as a shift towards customer advocacy, partner activity and commercial accountability. It did not provide figures for marketing spend or details of US revenue performance.

Inclusion work

Doyle's award related to internal initiatives on gender equality and diversity. AutoRek said she leads its Women's Resource Group, often referred to as an employee resource group (ERG), and described it as a forum for community building and professional development.

One initiative cited was a "Bring Your Daughter to Work Day". AutoRek said the format influenced other organisations and that partners, including Microsoft, had replicated it. The firm did not provide attendance figures or how frequently the event runs.

Employee-led resource groups have become common in technology and financial services, particularly in markets where competition for skills remains intense. Many employers have increased their focus on staff retention, mentoring and internal progression pathways. These programmes often sit alongside formal diversity and inclusion policies and management targets.

AutoRek positioned the two awards as evidence of a wider workplace agenda, saying it wants women in tech and data roles to gain visibility and support. It also framed the recognition as part of a broader effort to shape industry culture.

Ali Cowen, AutoRek's Chief People Officer, linked the awards to leadership and representation in the sector.

"We are incredibly proud of Michelle and Amelia for this well-deserved recognition. Their contributions go far beyond their day-to-day roles, acting as positive examples to women across the sector as they help to shape a more inclusive and forward-thinking industry. AutoRek is working to ensure women in tech and data have the platform, visibility and support to reach their full potential. Michelle and Amelia's recognition is a testament to that commitment," said Ali Cowen.

Business context

AutoRek sells financial controls software used by financial institutions. The platform covers reconciliations, data management and reporting. It sits in a segment of the market where firms face ongoing pressure to improve operational control and oversight while managing large volumes of data generated across trading, payments and investment operations.

AutoRek said its customers include asset managers, insurers and payments businesses. It reported that it supports asset management clients with more than USD $6.5 trillion in assets under management. It also said it works with insurance clients with more than USD $1.3 billion in gross written premium and payment clients processing more than USD $4 trillion in annual transactions.

AutoRek also published performance claims about its software, saying users see a 50%+ reduction in operational costs and spend 90%+ less time on reconciliations. The company did not provide an independent basis for those figures.

Recognition programmes such as the Women in Tech & Data Awards have become more prominent as technology vendors and financial institutions compete for senior talent. Firms use such awards to benchmark professional achievement and raise the profile of internal initiatives focused on representation, mentoring and progression.

AutoRek said both staff members will continue in their roles, with Earp leading marketing activity across the company's growth plans and Doyle continuing to run the PMO function and Women's Resource Group initiatives.
