ASUS & ROG unveil latest gaming tech at CES 2024

The CES 2024 has kicked off with technology giant ASUS and Republic of Gamers (ROG) announcing the launch of their latest range of premium performance-focused products, including gaming laptops, accessories, and a powerful phone that is sure to excite Australian gaming fans and tech enthusiasts alike.

The new product range includes the ROG Strix SCAR G16/G18 and Zephyrus G16 gaming laptops, which the company has brought to the Australian market in a bid to provide its customers with access to the latest technological advancements. All three models are now available for purchase at the ASUS e-Shop, through channel partners, or at JB HI-FI and Officeworks, with prices ranging from up to AUD $3,499 for the Zephyrus G16, AUD $4,999 for the Strix SCAR G16 and AUD $7,699 for the Strix SCAR G18.

As ASUS ROG announced, "This latest generation of gaming solutions for playing games at home and on the go includes displays that are impressively fast and stunning, laptops with blazing speed and high-level graphics, and the most powerful gaming phone on the market, the ROG Phone 8."

The product announcements were made at the virtual launch event 'For Those Who Dare: Transcendence', in line with the prominence of the brand in the global gaming industry.

The ROG Zephyrus G14 and G16 gaming laptops have been described as game-changers for portable gaming, boasting powerful internals and stunning display qualities. The Strix SCAR 18 laptop, on the other hand, has been designed with esports enthusiasts in mind, providing unparalleled power and performance. Incorporating the Intel Core Ultra 9 processor and the flagship NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop GPU enables these gaming laptops to have unmatched power, which is ideal for avid gamers.

Meanwhile, the newest addition to ROG's mobile family is the upgraded ROG Phone 8, which stakes its claim as one of the market's most versatile phones. The smartphone boasts advanced AI capabilities, a slim design, an immersive display, and an advanced camera, enhancing gaming and general user experiences.

In addition to launching game-changing laptops and phones, ASUS and ROG have collaborated with Intel to take over the Next Unit of Computing (NUC) business. This collaboration has resulted in the creation of the first-ever ROG NUC, namely Scorpion Canyon, a powerful, compact gaming PC with Intel Core Ultra processors and NVIDIA RTX graphics. Scorpion Canyon is expected to provide a robust and versatile gaming solution for players seeking high performance in a smaller form factor.

Also announced was a new range of gaming accessories designed to elevate the overall gaming experience. Noteworthy among these are the ROG Carnyx microphone, ROG Keris II Ace mouse, ROG Falchion RX Low Profile keyboard and ROG Cetra True Wireless SpeedNova headphones, each enhancing gameplay with new technology advances.
