Arrow ECS has inked a distribution deal for EMC's VSPEX Blue hyper-converged infrastructure appliance.

The deal will see Arrow's enterprise computing solution business in Australia distributing the appliance, which integrates VMware's EVO: Rail software with EMC management software and was the first offering to come out of EMC's converged infrastructure unit formed following the February merger of the VCE and VSPEX businesses.

The distributor says for many resellers' customers, cloud and virtualisation are key to aligning IT more closely with evolving business needs and an increasingly mobile workforce.

“But for mid-market and enterprise customers, concerns about complexity, cost or IT skills gaps often inhibit IT transformation.

VSPEX Blue can enable resellers to offer customers ‘the fastest and simplest path to private and hybrid cloud, and desktop virtualisation', Arrow says.

Arrow has been distributing VSPEX Blue in a number of countries internationally since February.

“We are pleased to now add Australia to our global reach,” Arrow ECS says.

Arrow is holding several reseller events throughout August offering the chance to learn more about the offering.
