Appian appoints Scott Van Valkenburgh to lead global alliances
Appian has announced the appointment of Scott Van Valkenburgh as Senior Vice President, Global Partnerships & Alliances.
Van Valkenburgh joins Appian with more than 25 years of experience in the technology and consulting sectors, having previously worked at SAS, Genpact, Alteryx, and PWC. His professional background includes leading global alliance and channel programmes as well as heading strategic initiatives to expand market reach and revenue.
New role
In his new position, Van Valkenburgh will lead Appian's global partnership strategy. His responsibilities will include expanding the company's network of system integrators, technology partners, and channel alliances with the objective of accelerating adoption of Appian's AI-powered process automation platform across more customers and industries.
Appian has stated that Van Valkenburgh's appointment is aligned with its continued investment in building and scaling its partner ecosystem globally. The company indicated its aim to support a broader range of organisations through collaborative partnerships.
Professional background
During his time at SAS, Genpact, and Alteryx, Van Valkenburgh oversaw the creation and management of global alliance programmes that delivered substantial new revenue streams totalling over a billion dollars. His tenure at PWC included developing global industry solution centres, resulting in hundreds of millions of dollars in client engagements.
