Altura Learning launches digital aged care platform
Mon, 27th Jul 2026 (Today)
Altura Learning has launched a new global digital platform for aged care training and compliance, bringing its course library, compliance tools and online purchasing into one site.
The rollout comes as aged care providers face tighter regulatory demands and broader digital change, particularly in Australia, where employers are under pressure to improve workforce training while meeting new compliance standards.
Rather than a simple website update, the platform is a full redesign intended to help providers find training, assess options and start using courses more quickly. It includes intelligent search, self-service account creation, online purchasing and AI-based guidance through a digital concierge called Pearl.
Customers can access more than 300 evidence-based courses covering residential care, home care and compliance. They can also view pricing, buy online and begin onboarding within hours.
Altura Learning Head of Marketing and Product Penny Anguita said the relaunch reflects both the company's growth and the sector's demands. "We now support more than 175,000 learners across more than 400 organisations worldwide, and our library has grown to more than 300 evidence-based courses covering residential care, home care and compliance," Anguita said.
She said the redesign aimed to make the process easier for employers with limited time. "We designed the new site to make it simpler for providers to navigate what's available, understand what's right for their team and get started quickly. In a sector where time is always short, that matters."
Compliance focus
A central part of the new platform is Altura Essentials, a compliance learning suite designed to help providers meet the requirements of the Aged Care Act 2024 and the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards. The suite contains 10 modules of about 15 minutes each, with separate pathways for residential and home care settings.
The modules are intended to create a common baseline of compliance knowledge across an organisation while limiting the time staff spend away from daily duties. That issue has become more pressing as providers are increasingly expected to show not only that policies are in place, but that workers understand and apply them.
Anguita said the reform agenda has changed what providers must demonstrate. "The reforms have fundamentally changed what providers need to demonstrate, not just in documentation but in the day-to-day capability of their workforce," she said.
She said the project was shaped by a practical question about speed and access. "Every decision behind the new site came back to one question: how do we make it as straightforward as possible for organisations to find what they need and act on it quickly."
Digital guidance
Pearl, the site's digital concierge, is designed to guide visitors through the platform and its free trial process. Working alongside the search function, it directs providers to relevant courses, packages and resources through a conversational interface.
Altura Learning is positioning the feature as a response to the limited time available to managers and staff in aged care. "People in aged care are stretched for time," Anguita said. "Pearl means they can simply ask for what they need and be guided straight to it."
The updated platform also serves as a shop window for newer courses, including Suicide Prevention in Residential Care, Understanding Stroke and Spirituality in the Community Setting. Visitors can also access the Evidence Into Action Whitepaper Series, which Altura Learning describes as a research-informed resource on workforce capability and care quality.
Altura Learning said all of its courses are developed with clinical and sector experts and updated to reflect current standards and regulatory expectations. That places the company in a market where training suppliers are judged not only on content breadth but also on how quickly materials can be revised when rules or care standards change.
The business now supports more than 175,000 learners across more than 400 organisations worldwide. With more than 20 years in the sector, it is using the new platform to make discovery, trial and purchase easier for providers that need to train staff quickly and document compliance across residential and home care operations.
The new websites were developed by Altura Learning in partnership with Digitas Australia.
