Acronis appoints Kelly Johnson as General Manager for Australia, NZ
Acronis, a cyber protection vendor, has announced the appointment of Kelly Johnson as the new general manager for Australia and New Zealand. Johnson's primary focus will be managing the channel-centred business, fortifying relationships with distributors and supporting partners to address the cybersecurity needs of modern businesses in the region.
With mounting pressure on Australian firms for cybersecurity and the drive to adhere to the Essential Eight maturity model, many firms turn to Acronis. The company equips businesses with an efficient method for ensuring compliance and securing digital business operations. For businesses already utilising the backup functionality of Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud, enabling security features is a seamless process. This feature requires simply toggling a button in the cloud console, eliminating the need for installing additional software. Furthermore, the Acronis cloud data centres located in Australia and New Zealand ensure absolute data protection compliance for local businesses.
"Acronis is experiencing a phase of hypergrowth in the region, fuelled by the deployment of AI-driven cybersecurity functionality complementing traditional backup. Johnson's proficiency in cybersecurity and experience in developing channel ecosystems underscores the importance we place on this market. She has a proven record of defining business direction and accomplishing strategic objectives," expresses Pasha Ershow, Senior Vice President of Sales and Global Channel for APJ and MEA at Acronis.
Johnson is a highly skilled international IT Channel expert with a substantial record of success in leading multifunctional teams across regions. She brings with her more than 30 years of industry experience, having held several roles at Ingram Micro in five different countries. Johnson showcases a passion for embracing new challenges and delivering remarkable results. She recently headed the sales team at Arrow ECS ANZ, managing both field and inside sales to drive sales through the channel. A respected speaker at numerous channel events, Johnson sits on the Executive Council at CompTIA as well as heading up the cybersecurity community for ANZ at CompTIA. She also formerly served as the country manager for Australia at ESET Digital Security, where she was responsible for the overall operations of the business whilst spearheading growth and brand awareness.
"I am very delighted to join Acronis during this time of hypergrowth in the region. The demand for a cybersecurity solution that covers all attack vectors and assists customers in ensuring security maturity in an easy and efficient way is remarkable. Acronis delivers one of the very best solutions for Australian and New Zealand businesses, and I am eager to work with our distributors, channel partners and service providers to deliver it," Johnson, the newly appointed General Manager of Acronis ANZ, notes.
