Fri, 23rd Feb 2024

Acer has announced the release of its new Acer Swift Edge 16 and Acer Swift Go 14 laptops, powerfully equipped with AMD Ryzen 8040 series processors. The new additions to the Swift series are sleek and lightweight, rich in advanced capabilities, and designed with advanced AI integration.

The Swift Edge 16 and Swift Go 14 laptops host enhanced AI experiences, Microsoft Copilot in Windows 11, and OLED displays. They are designed to deliver vivid images and rich colours whether users are working or streaming. AMD's latest processors enable efficient distribution of AI workloads between the Neural Processing Unit (NPU), the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU), and the CPU. This ensures elevated user experiences with AI technology on the devices.

Furthermore, the AI features extend the attraction and functionality of the Swift laptops to a wide range of users and uses. The AI assistant can be accessed with a single click of a dedicated Copilot key, saving time on tasks whether for work or creative pursuits. Complementing these features are Acer's AI-powered solutions such as Acer PurifiedView, Acer PurifiedVoice and Acer QuickPanel, designed to enhance conferencing sessions and offer adjustments to videoconferencing tools.

The Acer Swift Edge 16 is designed to deliver the optimum performance without compromising on portability. Packed in a thin and lightweight magnesium-aluminium alloy frame that weighs just 1.23 kg and stands 12.95 mm tall, the device hosts powerful hardware that can handle the rigorous demands of modern AI.

Meanwhile, the Acer Swift Go 14 is a robust machine, powered by AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS octa-core processor, AMD Radeon 780M graphics and Ryzen AI that delivers up to 60% improved AI performance from the previous generation. These features offer users enhanced AI experiences while they are on-the-move.

The Swift Edge 16 delivers stunning visuals via a 16-inch 3.2K OLED panel that has a 120 Hz refresh rate and 100% support for the DCI-P3 colour gamut. On the other hand, the Swift Go 14 focuses on portability while providing smooth, pleasing visuals on a 14-inch laptop with a 2.8K OLED display, a 90 Hz refresh rate or a touchscreen option on an IPS LCD (1920x1200) panel.

As for availability, the Acer Swift Edge 16 and the Acer Swift Go 14 will be available in Australia in Q2, starting at AUD 2,199.99 and AUD 1,399.99 respectively. However, specific product specifications, prices and availability will vary by region.
