3 Dot Digital partners with V7 to bring AI to Australian AEC

Yesterday

3 Dot Digital has announced a partnership with UK technology company V7 to bring an innovative AI integration to the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry in Australia. This collaboration aims to revolutionise the sector by automating numerous routine tasks and significantly reducing manual labour.

The integration is set to eliminate 40% of repetitive knowledge work and cut down manual efforts by more than 50% for site inspections, hazard and safety reports, and audit compliance tracking, according to the press release. The companies also report a 20-times return on investment (ROI) within just one and a half months of implementation, underscoring the potential financial benefits.

Andrew Davis, CEO of 3 Dot Digital, highlighted the potential transformative impact of the partnership. "This partnership is the next step forward in our decade-long journey to provide the industry with a clear focus and dedication toward bleeding-edge technology solutions. When we saw how V7 Go unlocks cost-effective cognition at scale, we knew immediately that the humble spreadsheet used by every AEC business had changed forever," he stated.

Beyond the immediate operational efficiencies, AI technology is expected to future-proof business capabilities, saving thousands of hours in productivity annually. The integration will allow businesses to harness Generative AI models, including GPT, Claude, and Gemini, from a single interface with simple prompts.

3 Dot Digital's application of AI technology has already demonstrated its capabilities in diverse contexts. For instance, their AI managed to process and categorise handwritten documents from World War Two in just two seconds. This showcases the power and speed of the new technology and hints at what it could achieve within modern AEC workflows.

Alberto Rizzoli, CEO of V7, spoke about the broader implications of this technology. "Following great success in enabling US and European businesses to harness Generative AI technology with V7 Go, we're excited to extend our operations into the Australian market with this partnership. It's always great to work with other technical founders, and we're greatly encouraged by the enthusiasm and expertise 3 Dot Digital has shown in adopting, stress-testing, and communicating the full potential of V7 Go. We look forward to collaborating further and bringing the value of trustworthy AI to new markets," he said.

The new tool, V7 Go, resembles traditional spreadsheet programs but introduces unique functionalities. Each cell in a V7 Go project can accept raw data, images, PDF documents, and even audio files, expanding how businesses can handle substantial datasets. This capability is set to streamline processes that traditionally take days, potentially reducing them to minutes, all manageable by a single user.

This development is particularly notable in a sector often burdened by extensive data processing and regulatory requirements. The ability to automate and accelerate these processes could lead to better use of limited resources, improved project outcomes, and reduced overall costs.

The innovative integration of V7's GenAI technology by 3 Dot Digital signifies a new era for Australian AEC businesses. By providing advanced tools and streamlined workflows, this collaboration aims to set new standards of efficiency and excellence in the industry.
